hotel near US Interests Section

My fiance has an interview in Havana in late September. He is from Holguin and has never been to Havana. Could anyone recommend a hotel or rental home within walking distance of the US Interests Section office? I am planning to be present for his interview and we would like to stay in Havana for a few nights.

I am going to do a google search - but also wanted to see if anyone could offer a personal recommendation.

There are a ton of hotels within walking distance to the US Interests Section-- the Nacional, the Habana Libre, the newly renovated Capri, the Hotel Victoria and the Hotel Presidente.

This is a nice casa particular on Calle G y 13 in Vedado-- which is also walking distance to the USINT: http://www.casalilly.com/ I have never stayed there, but I know the owner.

If you PM me, I can give you the name of another casa, which is located in front of the Habana Libre hotel.

Hi how are, I see you are looking for a place to stay, my last visit to Havana to see my fiancée I stay two block from the us embassy in Havana, and the apartment is right next to the us consulate from the balcony you can look down and see the consulate, if you need more info let me know. There is where I am planning to stay for my interview in Havana. Hope this help.
