Hi everyone,

Excitied to share this journey with you all. I'm British and my fiance is American. We received our NOA1 in the beginning of March (sent to Texas service centre), and we are now currently awaiting (eagerly) for our NOA2!!

Has anyone else starded the process off around a similar time to us? Currently we are;

-checking to see if any updates on processing on a daily basis, looks like its approx 5 1/2 months from receiving NOA1 to receiving NOA2.

-filing police checks

-getting up to date on next stages

Anything else you guys think we should be doing?

Cheers,

Amber xx

I have no direct advice about the process because my wife and I went through it a few years ago and a lot has changed since then.

Just save/document everything about your relationship from the time you met (as best you can) and definitely from here on out until the interview comes. Most likely they won't be interested in any of it but it is always better to have it on hand than not.

Best of luck!

N-400

Feb. 12, 2016 - Sent N-400 to USCIS (3-year rule)

Feb. 19, 2016 - NOA1

We were also a victim to TSC, but once we got NOA2, everything started to move quickly through NVC and embassy.

You can't speed up TSC processing, but you can (nearly) fully prepare for K1 visa processing.

Go through the packet 3 & 4 check lists and get everything prepared. Also have your USC fiancee

prepare I-134 and other supporting documents.

We thought it would be quick to gather up all K1 visa documents, but it actually took 2-3 weeks.

I had filed in March too but mine went to CSC so got visa in June. You should initiate police checks and medical process when you have NOA2. In the meanwhile, keep docs ready.. for me I had to ready:

I134

last three years' tax return of petitioner

W2 of petitioner

last 3 pay checks of petitioner

letter from bank of petitioner for current account balance

a new letter of intent (with date of few week before interview date) from petitioner

for evidence of relationship I took pics, phone records etc but they didnt ask for evidence at all.

To be safe keep docs ready, collect evidence of relationship and be ready. You can also find out where your medical will be. Accordingly you can research about medical charges, travel, accommodation etc there.

Hi, looks like you got entered at the same time as us. They received our forms on March 5th, the TSC is backed up it seems. I always follow the visajourney timelines relating to the TSC with interest.

Let me know if your NOA2 comes through soon. But 5.5 months seems the official expectation now.

thanks

Richard

Hi! I'm an April filer, but my fiancé is also from the UK. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/ this is a good guide for London. I've read over it a million times:) you won't need much proof of your relationship as it seems they don't look for it there, so much. I'll still send my plane stubs & stuff to my fiancé just in case...

Good luck! Hopefully tsc starts moving faster...

I am the petitioner.

Hey all,

Thanks so much for all your responses. I've been reading up and its great to see other people's journeys. What's apparent is that the waiting can be made easier by understanding what other couples are going through and seeing where we can learn from others and help any newbies if we can!! So thanks all, feel very welcome.

Nearly the 5 month day for Tim and I since submitting NOA1.... we're really hoping that any day now we might get some news on the NOA2.

Have a good day.

Cheers,

Amber and Tim
