Feeling worried about support

I am seeing that sometimes the Embassy says the Petitioner doesn't make enough to support the beneficiary. My fiance's interview is August 11th and I'm afraid they will say I don't make enough but I make WELL over the poverty amount that this website says.

Should I be worried they will say I need a co-sponsor?

As long as you make the amount above the poverty level for your state at 125% for your family size there is no reason they would think you don't make enough. My spouse got approved with our joint sponsor making only $500 over the threshold. You said you make well over the amount so don't worry about needing a joint sponsor. Good luck!

No you don't have to worry about that if your above that level you need to be. I know it's a difficult time they have our lives in their hands but your fine I'm sure you will have no problems getting the Visa for your fiancee. Just relax take a deep breath or two and know all will be well and soon you will be with your loved one. I'll be praying on my side.

May be not all, but I'm sure many rejects had something that was lacking.

All we can do is follow the rules and submit required evidences and supporting documents.

If you've done that the decision should favor your side.

It's an anxious time to wait, but no need to manufacture worries unnecessarily.

Just sit back and dream about the lovely times that's coming ahead of you.

Okay, thanks everyone. What I meant to put in my post as well is the fact that I see sometimes those who make well over the poverty amount sometimes get told they don't make enough. Guess all I can do is pray and see what the outcome of the interview will be.

Yes because they look at your overall situation. They take into consideration things like the person's health, age, education, etc. For example, when you petition a much older parent they would need extra reassurance that they won't go public assistance like medicaid or ssi due to their age and/or health. They look at wether or not the person can continue to work for x amount of years and things like that. If your and your fiances overall situation looks good, then your fiances visa shouldn't be denied based on support. I wouldn't stress it at all and good luck on your journey!

Don't believe everything you read! A lot of people say a lot of things on here and not all of it is true! The law requires that you make 125% of the poverty level for your household size. They can't require you to make more than that. And they certainly can't require it if you already make well above that.
