Optionally, when someone questions your command of the English language it means you're using a level of the language which is above their abilities.

I have noticed that those whose English is poor and limited often claim my use of lexicon and grammar to be beyond their education.

Well, in this case I said think instead of thing, so it was not an example of my "command of the English language"

If corporations are people as they claim, moving offshore should not relieve them from taxation. Only surrendering their citizenship would do that. It's how it works for people. So maybe corporations aren't people after all?

People are only responsible for paying taxes on income over roughly 100k if they live overseas.

Seems the U.S and some obscure African country I've never heard of are the only countries that tax non resident citizens on their income.

Yeah i'm sure Mitt Romney doesn't do this. Which would mean the two candidates I could have voted for last election both have offshore bank accounts. Which means I can't use that as an option to choose which I'd rather vote for. Got it?

Only Obama made a big issue of it ("eat the rich" and all that jive), and he did it first. Romney was only defending himself by showing up O's hypocrisy.

Remember: Obama was at the same time also making a big deal about how his administration would be all about the "rule of law, and transparency". Remember?

Yep: paying for the infrastructure you're not using. <_< Which actually ties into the "renouncing citizenship" part of this thread, as that's also on the rise for US citizens, mainly because of the Draconian tax repercussions of living abroad.

Well, he's a politician for sure. Obviously the person I want to be president isn't because last time I checked, I wasn't president. What do you want people to believe? That Obama lies and is not the person he acts like he is? A lot of us already know that. A lot of us just think he was better than Romney or McCain. Why is that such a hard concept to grasp? Do you think because someone voted for the president they thought he was the perfect man to represent them?

I don't care what 'people believe'; I'm not in charge of them. And glad you can acknowledge that the preznit is a scurrilous twerp without scruples.

A lot of us just think he was better than Romney or McCain.

Then you didn't do much research before you voted. Are you a "low information" voter?

No I think the problem some have with your posts (myself included) is that you post a bunch of big words without actually saying anything. It's almost like you have to make up for the lack of content in your posts by using big words so that people will think you know what you're talking about. When in reality, you just put a bunch of big words together without actually saying anything. Keep practicing though. You'll get there some day.

Ok try to keep up please, remedial post explaining is a time hog.

This post was made pointing out MR had offshore accounts. So it had already been pointed out

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/507558-corporate-tax-patriotism-mandate-moves-into-high-gear/?p=7153481

Then the OP, pointed out Obama did also. Hence my comments, that the Obama deniers would be along shortly to point out how MR were evil, but Obama's were good ad not really offshore accounts. Now a critical thinker, would surmise that I was pointing out, that they were both the same, but that the Obama deniers, defend Obama no matter what.

Go slow and catch up. It's all good

With NB being a staunch moderate, he should be appalled at both sides for partaking in these unethical tactics.

I think they are both equal. I am appalled at the 40 so years of both Repub and Dem, politicians that have written these laws

I was not referring to you, in particular. I don't ever recall exchanging ideas on the subject with you to be honest.

Thanks for making my point, all the same.

I don't like him, but I agree with him. U.S. citizens pay taxes. If we move abroad we pay taxes.

Why do they get to avoid taxes?

Let's be real. It is not about "avoiding" taxes, it is about exploiting labor in other countries and for the most part darn near free.

It is un-American not to want to support your country and help it prosper. The rest of us who are paying taxes are doing our jobs.
