You pretty much nailed it, oh wise Maven!!!!

Word!

+100!!!!!

Things I have learned from this thread:

  • Brown menace is REAL, yo. They are taking all your stuff and playing VERY LOUD AY YI YI MUSIC!
  • Totes cool to recommend two anti-legal immigration websites as supporting your belief that illegals be takin' yo stuff. Because when Numbers USA and FAIR are talking about no new immigrants, even the legal ones, they're not talking about your honey bunch.
  • Love Baba. Nuff said.
  • Hamilton was the dreamiest of our founding fathers.

I agree with you. My husband has been in consulate level AP for over a year with no sunshine. They were pissed off at me this summer for going to the embassy and asking why, while others get to do what they want. It is a kick in the stomach and it hurts because soo many of us are suffering while those who are not doing it right get the most attention. Please tell me your proposal and I will follow.

You would have been better off giving him a plane ticket to Juarez and buying him an inner tube.

What's your alternative proposal to deal with 11 million undocumented people? Whatever it is, I 100% guarantee it is not feasible.

This is outstanding for asking the wrong question.

The question is what to do for LEGAL immigrants to make it easier for THEM instead of making it so damned difficult. The reason why people just march across the border is because legal immigration is so damned expensive and difficult.

Why make us pay and not them? Eliminate our fees or else start charging people money for admission. Why do we need fingerprints every six months? How about just once? Stop rejecting us if the petitioner smoked pot once in their lifetime or any number of other provisions you put upon us but not upon them.

Making legal immigration easier and illegal immigration harder will end up producing way more legal immigration than illegal. The government is doing it exactly backwards: making illegal immigration vastly easier than legal. So therefore you get huge waves of illegal immigration.

Those 11 million illegals - what to do with them? Well how about asking what causes them in the first place instead of acting as if they are some big mystery unrelated to our policies.

No, it's not.

I am not asking anything to do with immigration reform, law, policy, what have you. I am asking what the OP proposed to do about the 11 million people already here. What caused this situation is not what I am talking about. Because no matter the reason, the situation already exists and making it harder for people to enter the country illegally does absolutely nothing to solve that situation.

Sure you are, you think they should be given amensty and be allowed citizenship. And if that is allowed, the border flooding will continue. Everyone will come for amnesty. And I'm not talking about the children.

if i supported illegal immigration, i would want everything to stay as it is.

bit of arrogance on our part, like "everyone" wants to live here. that isn't the case.
