"Roughly 5 million of the estimated 11 million people who entered the country without legal authorization or overstayed their visas could be protected under a leading option the White House is considering, according to officials who discussed the proposals on condition of anonymity."

So tell me... why is everyone on this site freaking out about what sections to be put "N/A", "None" etc...?? We are made to wait, and others are denied for stupid reasons or put on hold indefinitely for reasons they will not even release!

Why are our foreign partners subject to body screenings, vaccine screenings, and all different kinds of checks whether it be biometrics or otherwise? Then they are hassled by the T S A in coming into this country, and immigration officers.

Why do we have to pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ amounts of money just to get them here to then TURN AROUND and pay another $1000+ so they can STAY?

We are the legit ones following the rule of LAW yet the government (and the idiots who run it) let illegal ALIENS who are breaking not just national but international law to cross the border, and they are then establishing amnesty for them based upon what?

I am SO SICK of seeing news just being rubbed in my face, and hearing people I talk to about it say "ohh they can pay taxes, they can help the govt if we just give them amnesty".

WHAT A JOKE!

What does it even mean to be American anymore? If you can just fly into Mexico and cross the border, and get Amnesty???

It is just NOT right. If they give amnesty to these illegal national/international law breakers then why cant they give amnesty to us? Why do we have to pay the piper of "immigration" and follow the law to the "t" or never see our loved ones.

Why do our love ones have to go through all the screenings, biometrics, vaccinations, and everything else leading up to an interview with the fear of never being able to fulfill the desire of being with the one they love.

Then when they get here we have to jump through more hoops than a circus monkey who is doing it for peanuts.

Just to stay here!

/End Rant

To be honest I would rather see my taxes go to the honest people on this site, than a bunch of law breakers.

/End Post.

Sigh. Whatever. Freaking ridiculous.

Its not your taxes, its your application fees that pay for the process. You'll remember that USCIS was still processing applications during the Government shutdown.

Amen. This issue will remain until such time when they secure the border and make it water tight. The bigger issue is that nobody really knows how to get that done. In the meantime, we should also seek to enforce penalties on those who hire those without authorization. We can say 'they' all we want but We The People are also responsible for not enforcing the same laws we complain about when someone else breaks them.

And still no mandatory E-Verify.

And no fines or penalties for hiring illegals.

The truth of the matter is neither party really wants to fix the problem. They are more worried about what it will do to the party than they are what it is doing to the coutnry.

Uhhh.... wrong.

Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates that illegal immigration now costs federal and local taxpayers $113 billion a year.

http://www.fairus.org/news/illegal-immigration-a-113-billion-a-year-drain-on-u-s-taxpayers

  • The $113 billion in outlays for services and benefits to illegal aliens and their families represents an average cost to native-headed households of $1,117 a year. Because the burdens of illegal immigration are not evenly distributed, the costs are much higher in states with large illegal alien populations.
  • Education for the children of illegal aliens represents the single largest public expenditure at an annual cost of $52 billion. Nearly all of that cost is absorbed by state and local governments.
  • The federal government recoups about one-third of its share of the costs of illegal immigration in the form of taxes collected. States, which bear a much greater share of the costs, recoup a mere 5 percent of their expenditures from taxes paid by illegal aliens.
  • Granting amnesty to illegal aliens, as President Obama and others propose, would not significantly increase tax revenues generated by current illegal aliens. However, over time, amnesty would dramatically increase public costs as newly-legalized aliens become eligible for all means-tested government programs.
  • Arizona’s annual cost of illegal immigration is $2.5 billion.

This was as of 2010! Can you IMAGINE what the cost is now?

AHH it is not much just another $3.7 BILLION!

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/jul/8/obama-requests-37-billion-fight-surge-illegals/?

I mean heck... what is another billion among illegals and citizens... right?

You are also neglecting that the USCIS SPECIFICALLY said "We cannot handle amnesty overload."

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/jan/30/immigration-officials-warn-amnesty-overload/?page=all

They will have to hire more to cover all of these people who are illegal which means more $$ and where do you think it is going to come from?

Illegals who do not have a penny and even if they did would not claim they did?

Heck no... It is coming from my pocket book and every other citizen of this country. Bottom line.

The sad as hell thing about this whole situation is the ONLY reason that this is even permissible at a political level is because the two headed hydra called the republicandemocrat party wants more VOTES and they will do ANYTHING to get them.

On top of this for every person this country gains the politicians running the racket can get another $100,000.00 loan as a nation from the IMF!

and hey ! Raises for EVERYONE! I mean... everyone that knows about it....

But ohhhh they dont want you to know that shhh!!!

You should just run for office. You have my vote.

Ron Paul. Damn near bullet proof in every way, and the establishment shot him down.

The media will not support anything outside of this one party system either.

I would never make it. The one party system that is RepublianDemocrat's would not let me.

A great example of this was Ron Paul. Damn near bullet proof in every way, and the establishment shot him down.

Not really true. Some of us don't agree with the libertarian ideology believe it or not. 0% US military involvement throughout the greater world is very short term thinking IMO.

I'm just talking about the visa application process.

Well then even so... The USCIS cannot handle the mass influx of amnesty, and will have to expand in size or maybe Obama will just wave what he thinks is his magic wand (his pen), and make everyone citizens after amnesty to alleviate the USCIS from any burden.

Like I said... the cost will not come from those who are given amnesty or a raise in prices for immigration (at least I hope not because that would suck for us). I think it will come from the tax payers.

Yea killing innocent people (1 terrorest / 50 innocents ratio by drones if I remember correctly) is much better in an engagement that is not threat to the US when people who could be potentially enemy combatants are walking freely over out borders.

I don't know that supporting American Military presence throughout the world is the same thing as supporting drones killing innocent people as you have said. But i guess you can draw whatever conclusions you wish.

The Libertarian philosophy is flawed by one simple aspect. Human beings by nature cannot live and let live. Someone always wants what someone else has and someone is always offended by what someone else is doing.

Anyway I am not here to defend Ron Paul.

If you would like to know why I started this thread you can re-read post number 1.
