Background about myself: I hold a Chinese passport, and now I am interning in Copenhagen with a Danish residence permit. I have to go back to the States for college before August 20, and I am waiting for my F-1 visa in Copenhagen.

On Monday 21 July, I attended the interview at the embassy in Copenhagen. I was told my visa was approved and I would get my passport back within one week. I wasn't asked much about anything besides the required documents/forms and financial proof. However, my visa status has been administrative processing for this whole week and hasn't changed at all. I'm very frustrated now and worried, and I think the reasons for the delay could be:

1) the computer crash might affect visa process globally

2) the fact that I am Chinese and applying for F-1 visa in a third country

3) the fact that last semester in Spring 2013 I had a leave of absence from my school. My old visa had to be deactivated and I have to get a new I-20 / new F-1 visa

Does anybody have any idea how long this is gonna take, or if the reasons above have any influence on it? Also, I was told my visa is approved at the interview. Is there any chance that I still won't get my visa?

I'm so exhausted and helpless when dealing with administration/visa stuff... :( Please help me...

Administrative processing is a normal step before a visa is issued. Just wait and you will hear a good news any time soon.
