Hello all!

So here's the deal. I literally just became a US Citizen this week (July 22). I am putting together all the paper work and travel records for I-129F application. It just dawn on me that all my travel records were done with my Portuguese Passport and entering the State with my Green Card (which I no longer have). I was planning to include a copy of my passport to show my full name and passport number, along with my air ticket and the "stamps" in the passport. Do you think that will be a problem? I have asked an officer when I did my Oath Ceremony do I have to wait a certain period of time to petition I-129F, and he answered no.

Guess what I'm asking is, should I include a letter stating that while I was traveling to see/meet my fiancée, I was in the process of attaining my citizenship. A copy of my Naturalization Certificate will be included of course, and I just submitted an application for a US passport. Thoughts?

I do not think you need the note of explanation, but you can include one if you wish. You just need to prove your US citizenship, which you are doing with the copy of your naturalization certificate(congrats, by the way), and to prove you met within the 2 years prior to filing. Showing the passport stamps in your old passport to go along with the boarding passes and such is not a problem. It is ok that you traveled and were in a relationship before becoming a citizen.
