Why Noa2 taking so long ????

My NoA 1 was 12/27/2013. My NoA 2 was 7/24/2014 just about seven months. What helped me most about this forum was despite the anger and frustration of some folks was the sense of humor that some displayed. Figure the worst and hope for the best!

I did not realize that it was now taking so long. we received our NAO2 in 21 days, from the

CSC is still fast for 98% of the filers. The OP filed at TSC which is very slow (average of ~185 days) for non-expedited cases.

Been 8 months for me, still waiting on NOVA2

Hi I've been waiting 10 months I have not seen anyone else with such a long time as us. Do you have any idea why and have you contacted anyone. I am trying to find answers to this.

First, I would be a little concerned that your petition was supposedly transferred to the Vermont Service Center in late October. I say this because VSC stopped processing new I-129f/K-1 petitions in late July / early August of last year and sent almost all of theirs to TSC. I would be concerned it is sitting in a pile of papers no one is paying attention to there since they aren't expecting that type of petition.

Second, and this really is just a continuation of first . I would call VSC and speak to a Tier 2 officer asap. Explain that your petition was transferred there from the NBC (whatever that is) and you believe it was incorrectly handled. Explain that you believe you may have mailed it to the wrong place (should have been the Texas lock box like everyone else) and see what they say. Ask them to find it or at least give you an update if it is there as you are waaaay past normal processing times.

Regardless of the circumstances, I would get someone looking into it right away.

It will come! Try to be patient and stick to the 5 months as an estimate, they're working on January right now but it could speed up. Good luck!

Your timeline says your petition was originally forwarded to the National Benefits Center? This can't be correct.

Did you first send your I-129f petition to Dallas lockbox? From there it would have been forwarded to Vermont (looks like) although that is odd, because at the time of your submission of petition they were not forwarding petitions to VSC.
