New update on the DOS facebook page posted 8 hours ago reads...

"The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs continues to make progress restoring our nonimmigrant visa system to full functionality. Over the weekend, the Department of State implemented system changes aimed at optimizing performance and addressing the challenges we have faced. We are now testing our system capacity to ensure stability. Processing of immigrant visas cases, including adoptions, remains a high priority. Some Embassies and Consulates may temporarily limit or reschedule nonimmigrant visa interview appointments until more system resources become available to process these new applications. We sincerely regret the inconvenience to travelers, and are committed to resolving the problem as soon as possible. Additional updates will be posted to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available."

Moves being made? It's sounded more positive....

Nor me, still says 'Ready' July 17th.

I'll be honest, wasn't expecting anything today.

That's odd Marshall. I had my interview on the 18th and my case says updated 21st July.

The lady interviewing me did ask when I was travelling and wrote it on my file. She said my visa should be ready by then.

I'm thinking positive as the turn around in working days is the same as yours.

You interview was on the 18th, next working day was the 21st.

My interview was on the 16th, next working day was the 17th.

Thanks for the update 1K1. I would have added them on Facebook, but my Fiancée is unaware of this issue their systems have had, so don't want to freak her out unnecessarily if my visa comes through soon!

Let's hope for new news soon guys!

Just 'borrowed' this from another forum 'We were at the embassy in London yesterday for our visa interview and asked about this. The consulate advised that they are working through the backlog, and it should add no more than a day or two to their usual 3-5 day processing time.'

We may be in Denver sooner rather than later :)

I was told 10 days anyway when I was accepted. 10 working days for me is tomorrow, so could be true!

Email reply I received from London.

Nothing really in it, just thought you guys might like to know!

Thank you for your email.

The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our visa system which are affecting operations globally. We recognize that this may cause inconvenience to travelers, and apologize for the delay.

Although we have completed adjudication of your visa application, we are unable to take final action on the visa at this time. We hope to have our system fully operational again soon, but currently we do not have a timeline for when this may happen.

Again, we recognize and regret the inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter.

Please be assured that you will be advised once your documents have been processed and passed to the courier service. The Embassy cannot guarantee that a visa will be issued to any applicant by a specific date.

Sincerely,

Nice updates guys.

I just got updated to "Administrative Processing" (todays update: 29-Jul-2014) and it reads...

"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days."

I'm really hoping it's the later!... Just a quick AP then issued please. 2 bus days would be ideal! Good luck everyone else!!

Hello,

My fiance and I are in the same boat as you guys. My fiance applied in London, interview was the 22nd. The strange thing is his case date was updated twice (22nd and 29th) but the wording remained the same (stuck on ready, pre-interview instructions). Today he got an email saying his case cannot be processed at this time even though his visa is an immigrant visa (which is currently the high-priority). We're hoping that his case will be filed anyway. We're extremely stressed, as our wedding date is August 8th but luckily the court house in Milwaukee is understanding and will let us apply for a marriage license on the day of our wedding (should it unfortunately come to that, fingers crossed)! I'm wanting to know if anyone has been able to get in contact with a physical person (not an automated telephone number) or received an email back? We've emailed a few times and have yet to hear back. I'm really looking to find out if his case has even been touched since it's been updated twice on the CEAC website. Any luck?
