"PLEASE DRESS MODESTLY. THIS IS A JEWISH NEIGHBORHOOD."

Sometimes I think that here are people on VJ who just post the opposite point of view to whatever the 'librul' posts no matter what the resulting nonsense ensues. No one is declaring it an exclusively jewish neighbourhood. The intent of the sign is to advise of a religious view to dress code, nothing more. There is no hint that those who are not jewish are not welcome, although there may be some people who do take that view, but there is nothing that could lead you to conclude that from the sign. Comparing that to a sign saying 'White Neighbourhood' is just irrational. There is no comparison.

As of lately the nonsense is across the board. It's not restricted to a liberal or conservative POV alone. It's a cluster..

Ludacris. There are places in Israel, too, where they try to have people do things their way. Don't drive here on shabbat, don't walk there with revealing clothes etc etc. As long as it's not in holy place(and a street is definitely not a holy place) everyone should have the right to dress how they want, drive where they want, do what they want.

I don't see what the fuss is about. I see this as no different from signs in my (relatively residential) neighborhood outside of bars that say something like: "This is a residential neighborhood. Please respect your neighbors and be quiet outside the bar."

I would not have a problem with that. I would have a problem if a sign on public property said, This is a Christan neighborhood o forth and so on

If you're not breaking the law, you can reasonably stick your middle finger up at anyone who tries to impose their own rules on others. them and the horse they rode in on
