That is IF, IF someone feel the need to do so they can. Just because you feel they shouldn't doesn't mean someone else will not feel the need to do so. You can't dictate how people will or will not act in this situation based off of what you would do.

People have the choice to comply or not and there is nothing you can do about it.

Sorry, you really don't understand what I am posting for some reason so I can't discuss this with you any further as you are making an argument against something I haven't said and denying something you did.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

what gives them the right to post a sign on public property declaring the religious designation for the whole area.

It's racist as hell and bigoted like no tomorrow.

Would you be ok if I put up a sign on my road, that said " This is a white neighborhood, please no sagging pants"

What if I declared my whole street a Baptist street, please refrain from dancing or any music made after Pat Boone retired.

Use of this bandwidth is restricted to short brown people with little to no hair and a beer belly.

I added to my post. The more I think about it the more absurd it became. This is a Jewish neighborhood.. Really ?? I thought it was an American neighborhood.

Nothing at all. That's why you can either do it or not. The choice is up to the individual.

   This is Murkha. You got no choice. When you see a sign that says 'Enjoy Coca Cola' it means you must open a can or bottle of Coke and guzzle it down. That is how it works...

Hahahahaha

I mean utterly ridiculous the rage over a sign that you don't have to abide by if you choose. Like the Jewish police are going to be throwing robes on people as they exit the car.

My problem is them declaring it a Jewish neighborhood. If I was looking to buy there, I would take that as a unwelcome sign.

So you would be ok with a sign, declaring a place a White Neighborhood

There doesn't have to be a sign to let you know you are unwelcome to a neighborhood. lol

And there are no need for signs declaring a neighborhood white. lol

The sign states because it is a Jewish area, more so pointing to their faith and religious beliefs, not their race, they don't want you half naked in their neighborhood. lol

You can either look at the sign and say okay, or look at the sign and walk down the street naked the next time. Your choice.

It's on taxpayer owned land.

Sometimes I think that here are people on VJ who just post the opposite point of view to whatever the 'librul' posts no matter what the resulting nonsense ensues. No one is declaring it an exclusively jewish neighbourhood. The intent of the sign is to advise of a religious view to dress code, nothing more. There is no hint that those who are not jewish are not welcome, although there may be some people who do take that view, but there is nothing that could lead you to conclude that from the sign. Comparing that to a sign saying 'White Neighbourhood' is just irrational. There is no comparison.

There are many orthodox jewish areas in the USA - I guess the addition of the sign is for the unwashed recent illegal aliens that dress skimpily ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Ludacris. There are places in Israel, too, where they try to have people do things their way. Don't drive here on shabbat, don't walk there with revealing clothes etc etc. As long as it's not in holy place(and a street is definitely not a holy place) everyone should have the right to dress how they want, drive where they want, do what they want.
