Filed my AOS march 27th. Got an update May 22nd, saying my application is in Nebraska. Then received an interview waiver letter at the end of June. Coming up on the 6 months since receiving that letter now.

At least i have my EAD and a job. There are definitely some things id like to do that i cant do until i receive the green card. Guess i just gotta try be patient like the rest of you who are in the same boat.

Since our case transferred to Nebraska Center and the date of fingerprints (August 15, 2014) we did not hear anything of them. I think when the guy of the customer services told me that it might takes time until February, I thought it is impossible. But now, I guess we are stuck there for long time. They have tons of backlog and pending transactions. I am still waiting from them to send me the letter about the interview or anything....ah... This is frustrating. Thanks to Allah (God) I have my work permit and driver's license.

It seems this is the worst center regarding issuing the green card. I've been waiting since my fingerprints in August, 2014. I did not even get my interview letter. (File date 17 July 2014).... It is frustrating.

Assalamou alaikum. I think it is nothing to worry about...they seem backlogged.

The new USCIS site is more modern and appealing. I had to go through a security check to get in but after that everything worked fine. I added the AOS, EAD and AP cases to our file. Of course there is no new information as they wait for the RFE to be returned. Talk about cutting it close with the deadline....for joint sponsor to submit the additional documents. :-S

Tomorrow is the deadline for submitting the RFE concerning additional documents needed from the joint sponsor. The joint sponsor has been in and out of town with sick/elderly relatives for weeks and was planning to gather the documents this weekend.....this weekend is too late. Lesson: Have a backup plan no matter what. We never planned for this and have no emergency backup sponsor....and no time to find one. Seems this is the end of our visa journey. :(

We mailed the RFE just hours before the deadline...not a recommended tactic! The stress is no fun. :-)

Check out the interview waiver letter and february 2014 filers threads. Seems a handful of people who filed then and revieved interview waiver letters in early June are being approved and receiving their green cards.
