PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE.. Our EAD case status just changed to Card/Document Production :dancing: after 45 days from biometrics.

Congratulations,

Is this the Green Card in process or the Work Authorization?

I did the Biometric on August 14 and still waiting. I am expecting something at September 14 or Sep 24, like your estimation

:)

OK...just checking. Our EAD is due any day now according to the VJ timeline. Our joint sponsor has notified us that their RFE request is nearly complete and ready to submit. I am not sure if the AOS RFE will delay the EAD or not.

I called them and they told me that there is backlog (pending transactions) in the office that is handling my case. He said, there is nothing wring on the system but he told me to expect delay until Feb 2015.... Oh my God!.... this is really unbelievable. He said that is why they issue the work permit to allow the person work and because the Green Card process take tons of time in certain cases.

I phoned on Friday. USCIS said we must wait 75 days until asking for an inquiry. She told me to call back this Friday Oct 24 so they can submit an inquiry or something like that. Last Friday was only 69 days so she could do nothing. My plan is to phone again Friday. :-)

I must clarify that I called concerning the EAD (work documents).

The inquiry you are talking about is called service request. Did it myself a while ago, they state they send uscis e-mail letter asking for updates as for the case and you supposed to have answer in 30 days. Got mine in 40 days and it was simple general e-mail stating they have a big workload.... I do recommend info pass in case if you are worried. They give way more accurate info.

As for the uscis call center, useless and they admit themselves that they are simply call center and can not do much, and from what i noticed call center workers and so called tier 2 officers have general access to the info, and field office officer has way better and detailed access for the info at the uscis.
