I don't know.. That's why I'm confused. Some people told me that I just need to wait less than a month. And here I am.. Waiting for that f***** 2 months -.- but I don't want to believe that's true.. I'm still hoping that it won't take that long

You were told you had an RFE on 4th June and you haven't received it yet? Definitely get your fiance on the phone to get them to send out another copy.

Once you've responded to the RFE I believe they say it can take up to 60 days to review but, in practice, it seems to happen a lot quicker than that. So hang on in there, the fact that you have an RFE means someone is looking at your file :)

Yes.. It just that, it took 3 weeks before we submitted our response.. July 7.. Actually we responded almost a month because the paper I sent stocked it New York for 3 weeks. Now they haven't change it in their website..

Yesterday we found out that my future mother in law has incurable cancer, and that she may not live long enough to be at our wedding. This is killing us, cause there is nothing we can do to make this faster. Our NOA1 was on May 31 at TSC. I am praying to God every day for her health, because she is a true angel who helped us get together. I feel hopeless, I miss my fiancee and I can't be with him in this moment to support him, help him, and I can't see his mom who I consider my mom too. I can't even describe all the pain we are going through now

I can't imagine how you feel I'm really sorry, those TSC vs CSC time discrepancies are so unfair ... Thanks for your words and sharing about your mom I will pray for her.

Actually I am waiting now for the RFE.. And my fiancé called to uscis. The annoying part is we need to wait for 45 days for them to update the website then two more months for the decision..-.-

Thanks for your support. Why is this process so complicated ... We are supposed to be doing the right things and instead of being rewarded is like getting we get punished by the government, with obstacles and long wait times.

That's true.. It's very tiring to wait. It's so frustrating to live thousand miles away from the one you love..

Hi,

Please dont let the negativity and stress get you. I know the process its stresfull and give us a heavy emotional burden, but still we must remember that its an administrative process and that you are out of any inegilibility spot, so its only matter of time and its important be strong for the relationship. Plus as an administrative process, If its necessary, USCIS will require more information that we can provide for sure, dont think that an RFE its the end of the process, see it like another chance to proof them that you are in a bona fide relationship and that you are 100% eligible for get the k-1 visa.

Keep in your mind that its ok what we are doing because its the right thing, dont see it as punishment because our reward its be with our loved ones in a legal way and without the threat to be deported in any moment.

Best regards and enjoy the ride, dont suffer it!

I am very new to this process.....just mailed my forms in yesterday and should arrive in TX tomorrow (7/26)! It is encouraging to see people who have had their visas approved within 6 months but trying not to get my hopes up....I am planning on visiting my fiance in UK around October....should I anticipate any problems? It should be easy to prove I am not planning on staying because I have children from a previous marriage lol but already worry about entry into UK!

I'm also worried about the medical. So much so I am losing sleep and actually making myself sick over it!!! I think it has to do with the fact that the medical is the one thing I do not have control over!! I can only eat so healthy and stay calm and positive but if something shows up on my medical exam ... I am so worried that will keep me away from my beautiful fiance for so much longer.

And it's completely irrational, mind you. Because every time I see my family Dr, she rolls her eyes at me and tells me I am perfectly healthy and to stop coming in ... haha ....

I have lumps in my breasts, which they will see on the exam and will delay my visa - so I will come prepared with my previous ultra sounds and results saying that it's all benign and normal for my body.

I have scars on my arms from when I was a dumb teenager. SO I will come ready with character references and a note from my Dr and perhaps my family therapist stating that I am not a harm to myself or others.

I am over thinking everything and I haven't even gotten my NOA2 yet. On Monday I'm going to see my Dr just to talk to her about this process, and see if I can prepare EVEN more. Yeah, I'm paranoid! I used to be like this about the interview, but if you know your fiance there's absolutely nothing to worry about there. SO now I'm worried about the medical, and I can't prepare myself enough to not worry about it!!

And I am making myself sick over it!!

You aren't alone! =)

Thanks for your words..the root cause of my fears is that I have never been a very healthy person I am weak and get sick easily and I am worried something can go wrong with the medical exam

Get sick easily with what ? A cold will not hinder you from getting a visa.

Stop putting all that negative energy out about your future. You are healthy now, strong and have a bright future.

How will worrying change one thing about anything except put bad vibes out there ?

Don't have a doomsday mentality and get yourself together and be positive or you just may get sick from worrying and stressing,

you know stress is bad for your health right ? You have a choice to be calm and positive or a stress ball and a negative Nelly.

Best wishes !

Try to remain calm, and write down the relevant worries that you have - And use this website to ask questions and get information about those concerns - Things are a lot less scary and stressful when you understand them better :)

This is a stressful process, no doubt about that - But keep the communication flowing between you and your fiance, and you'll get through this time together - Before you know it, you'll be writing this for the next K1 filer, and reassuring them :)

Good luck! :D

All I can say is that it gets a little easier with time.

Filed 129F August 2013......still waiting for embassy to issue the visa...11 months later..........responded with a few simple things to what I hope is final 221G request last week.....

I felt like you in August 2013.....had no idea it would take a year....but here we are, still together and stronger relationship for it in my opinion.....but enough time is enough....

You need to be more patient....this is just the beginning...use this time to develop a little self reliance, strength, and self-confidence.......it will strengthen your long term relationship...co-dependency is somewhat normal in a new relationship..but not great for a lifetime.

Good luck..but you will have to accept that this process takes time and do all the work on your side to make sure USCIS and Embassy are never waiting on you.

This process is incredibly stressful on everyone, and hopefully you will find comfort and support through this site. My fiance and I have been doing the long distance thing for several years now, and I totally agree with MeganLuke...it seems like waiting and being apart is WAY more difficult now that the visa process has begun. I guess it's like knowing the finish line is just around the corner but then feeling like everything kicks into slow motion and finishing the race seems mostly out of our control. I've found that reading the posts in the forums can be helpful on those days when the frustrations and worries get overwhelming. It is sad that "they" make it so difficult for people who love each other (and can "prove" it) to be together. Hang in there...post whenever you need some support or have questions.
