Don't be frustrated by dead links. Follow your page on ceac.state.gov like you used to do with NVC and fill out whatever form is available.

Where is this DS-2001 available? On ceac? I guess since you received this because of the early stages of your visa processing. Package 3 is simply the instruction package/letter/links that you received from the embassy which advises you how to proceed furthe now that NVC is no longer guiding you.

Seems like you do not have much left to do as you have already filled out I-864 and DS-260. If you have confirmation page of DS-260 submission with your wife's case number on it, she can schedule her medical exam. I fail to understand why the procedure would be so different than the rest of the world!

consulate does not tell you how or when to it, at least not in India. Give the Taiwan ustraveldocs a call to figure things out, if they do insist on waiting for their instruction before scheduling.

Just that it needs to be done before she appears her interview. Here is a link to the panel physicians in Taipei approved by US embassy.

Thank you!

Looks like every country is a little different.

1. AIT won't let you schedule a medical exam until they tell you to (when the interview schedule is available).

2. USTraveldocs.com doesn't really help in this case because the application is already so far advanced. I spoke with a rep online and she was basically saying "go to state.gov to see this http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/immediate-relative.html" for any questions you have. I'm like thanks a lot.

3. I just downloaded a DS-2001, filled it out and emailed it along with the DS-260 confirmation page to AIT's visa section, hopefully that'll do.

Ugh I need to kick my husband in the butt. We are almost finished with the DS-260 but he needs to find the name of the employer he worked for 10 years ago. He is holding us up! lol. SO after the DS-260 is complete then we can schedule the medical appointment? Makes sense. I'm gonna go light a fire under my husband's behind :P

Hi, the medical appointment is obviously up to the hospital. We haven't done our DS-260 yet, but gave the hospital a copy of the expedite approval email with my wife's NVC case number. That number just has to be written on the medical report, so they want to make sure it's accurate. From what I've read online, the medical results are valid for 6 months, so you're good to go now, as long as the hospital/clinic accepts whatever evidence you have of your case number.

Hey everyone, an update:

I flew to Taiwan and did the interview with my wife. The process was short but the wait was LONG. One girl who was doing K-1 (I think) in front of us was by herself and got GRILLED by the pre-interview/document check lady and then again by the consulate officer. She was not denied outright but they said "we need to do more investigation".

I did most of the talking with the document check and the consulate officer, and it was pretty painless. We were missing a few documents that needed to be dropped off on Monday, so hopefully that will take care of everything. We are (almost) done.

Lucky you... congrats on the approval.
