Are these the forms I-485 and I-765 that can be filed together?

Yes, file for advance parole (AP) using the I-131, the employment authorization document (EAD) with the I-765 and adjustment of status (AOS) with the I-485. The only fee is for the I-485 which is $1070 assuming only one person on the application. That way you get the EAD/AP combo card and can begin working and travelling where you need to re-enter the US should the need arise. The the travel dates on the AP you can put "UNKNOWN" as you are getting this to be able to travel before your are issued the GC.
