Hi guys, can someone with the knowledge please explain the following, i am so confused and NVC is completely useless. Noone including their supervisors can tell me anything. I have been calling everyday.

1) I sent the IV support doc email on 5/20, and AOS support doc email on 6/10.

2) NVC sees under my case I sent the emails on 6/12 and 7/10 but NO emails from 5/20 or 6/10. But I did NOT send any emails after 6/10, they also dont know what the 6/12 and 7/10 emails are that's attached to my case if it's the ones i sent or something else. They keep telling me it's not 30 business days yet according to their system.

Can someone please help explaining under what situations the actual email sent date will be different (signifcantly delayed) from the email receive date NVC has.

Noone will tell me anything, i am not sure what to do. I offered to resend everything but the supervisor said if you do that it will only delay your case more since they wont complete it if there is pending emails.

Please help

You sent 2 emails on May/20 and June/10,

and NVC says they see 2 emails from June/12 and July/10.

Did you verify with them if those 2 email bodies and attachments

are 2 emails you sent? Was this confirmed to be different?

I sent them email back in June, and I received a reply after 30 days,

but my case moved to embassy so it didn't matter,

but it demonstrates that they are slow in replying to emails.

Also, if the email is attached to your case, I am speculating that

June/12 and July/10 are the dates someone stored your email

into their system.

So putting the (delayed) time stamp aside for a moment,

sounds like they are same 2 emails that you sent to them

based on same count (being 2), and similar gap between the 2 emails.

What's important is do they now have what they need

regardless of how their receipt dates are set.

they 'see' them because a human found them, detached stuff and added it to the casefile.

John seems muddled at EP for CR-1/IR-1 for Guangzhou at NVC.

----

the date is the date logged. not the date 'received'. not the date you sent it.

John does have 1 point, though - go by the count o emails.

LHS = RHS? yer golden.

Now, the bigger bit? when you call in again, ask if the file attachments were detached, added to the casefile, and if yet reviewed by a reviewer.

Thanks guys that makes me feel a little better, to answer the questions

You sent 2 emails on May/20 and June/10,

Did you verify with them if those 2 email bodies and attachments

are 2 emails you sent? Was this confirmed to be different?

What's important is do they now have what they need

regardless of how their receipt dates are set.

This is my biggest problem, i am told by multiple NVC call center reps and supervisors that they cannot see what the email is - cannot see subject, body, or attachments. I even asked if they can just tell me the email size but the answer is still no. They said they can only see a message saying i sent something to them on that (delayed) date and it's waiting in queue That's it.

I remember the first time i called a few months back, the supervisor was able to clearly see everything, not sure what has changed. Are those guys just blowing me off? Should i keep calling and ask to see what the content of the emails are?

I did ask if any doc has been attached to my case, they said they see nothing attached to my case. I then asked what about the email i sent on 5/20 and 6/10, they say they only see something sent for 6/12 and 7/10 but it hasn't been reviewed yet, then we just keep going in circles with them telling me no to everything i ask about what those 2 emails from 6/12 and 7/10 are :(

PS what is LHS = RHS?

What a messed up system...or ignorant staff we have in there.

How can they not able to pull up the darn email and check the contents.?

In any case, those 2 emails seems to be from you,

but something that gets reflected into their system ... possibly manually at a later date.

Yeah I am really crossing my fingers this is the case, otherwise I would waited over 2 months for nothing. The 6/12 email should get reviewed any day now I hope.

As someone who works in IT, I cannot even begin to imagine the person(s) who came up with this process. All they needed to do was create a quick web page to allow you to upload your docs online and just says uploaded success or failed. It will save them many unnessary phone calls and years of my life...

it used to be - the subject lines were scanned and successfully moved to the next queues via automation.

Somethings changed - different vendor, different toolset, different somethings, about 18 months ago, and it's slowed folk down. I pay attention to EP casefiles for Guangzhou at NVC here, and the days of 3 day tops on OPTING IN to EP are gone.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

i got this today... god damn those people...

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 12-JUN-14.

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.
