Dug out this thread for an update. After over two months of intense search, just yesterday I got HIRED by the county! Whooohoo! Looks like a great atmosphere and great people. I filled out an online application on the County website for Administrative Assistant, got called for the exam, placed Rank 7 out of about 150 people who took the exam. Next thing I knew different departments in the county were calling me for interviews, but the first one was the best. I start on April 23rd. SO happy finally something stable! :D:thumbs:

After a 20 year career wth the Government, Monster led me to my current position. Check it out.

Also, you may want to look at CareerJournal.com, from the Wall Street Journal, many career fields are represented there.

ETA: Congrats on the new job. For others searching, the advice may help.
