The interviewer read a question at the aos application if "have you knowingly commited a crime of moral turpitude or any drug related offense in which you were not arrested?" My answer there when we filed for the aps was YES because i said YES in my medical that I have indeed tried puffing once in my whole life but still puffing is a drug related offense in which i was not arrested. We just played safe and said yes because we are afraid they would think we were lying if we answered Yes to the civil surgeon and No to the aos application. I swear we really cannot believe that they will deny our green card just by being honest. The us embassy did not even ask those things during my interview and now they will consider the possibility of a denial after i got here in the US and started our life around it? This people will ruin lives if they do so. It is just so unfair.

Hi to all!

So my Fiance did the same thing and admitted to trying marijuana once back in 2009 and that was it. He was told to go back dec 23 for the psychiatric evaluation. Unfortunately we had to move the interview date from dec 9 to the 1st week of january. There goes Xmas and new year. Our son and I miss him dearly! We're afraid he might be denied a visa because of this. I want to help out as much as possible so his visa can be approved but the medical is being difficult!

I greatly appreciate help!

What might be the possible questions asked at the psych evaluation?

Just so we know the basis.

Please and Thank you!

There are two different threads going on this subject and there is a lot of great information and your questions have been answered therein those threads. I'll give it to you real quick but I recommend doing a little research and reading before hand.

I wouldn't cancel the interview. He can still go it's just that he will get a 221(g) for his medical records missing but once he has his medical interview his records will be released to USEM and then they will process his visa.

There are no questions that can be given to you as they vary from one Dr. to another and one person to another person that is being interviewed. Best to go in, be honest with your answers and they may ask the question again but in a different way so be sure your answer is the same as the one given earlier.

Look the Dr. in the eye, be confident and be honest. Explaining to the Dr. that this was in a different time in your life and you have so much more ahead of you that you can assure the Dr. that it's not going to happen again.

Good luck. Be strong.

Hi,

I just want to ask for further confirmation, since i did the same honest answer of trying drug once way back 13 years ago out of curiosity, my schedule of interview is on December 1, 2017 however I was asked to come back on November 28,2017 for my psych evaluation. My question is, can still proceed with the interview even there will be delay in my medical examination results?

Thank you in advance and please do pray for me as well as I am worrying rightnow together with my wife (my petitioner) (F2A) that our journey in waiting might result into frustration and failures. I know God is good.

You must complete your medical before attending the interview .. the embassy will have you reschedule if not.

I know of NO ONE that was denied a visa because of having "used drugs" years ago.   The OP for this topic is in the USA ..
