For everyones reference. Here is the question in the form.

Have you ever inside or outside the US knowingly committed any crime of moral turpitude or a DRUG RELATED OFFENSE for which you have not been arrested?

Should i say yes or no if i admitted to st lukes that yes i have tried puffing once in my entire life.

Hello Joui,

I went back to visa journey and seen th thread again. which question are you talking about? Is this the i-485 question of the DS 160? In the DS-160 I said no to it. It did not have any conflict and I still got approved with my visa. I am now in the US. When I was preparing the papers for AOS. There was the same question. "have you committed any crime which you have not been caught in or out of the United States? My husband told me to say 'no 'because they may have the medical record but it wont affect my application. Hopefully it wont. Until now i still regret admitting to it but I do not worry too much anymore.

You mean you said no to the drug question in the AOS even if you admitted YES to the civil surgeon???

Have you got your green card now?

We have tge same trend. I said NO to ds160, YES to the surgeon. And i plan to say YES to the aos question.

Yuri,

I think you are wrong.

Question at ds160: have you been a drug abuser/addict.

-since we did it once and out of curiosity, we said NO.

Question at st lukes: have you tried any form of drug in your entire life.

- we answered yes since it is true we/i did it once out curiosity.

Question at AOS FORM: have you knowingly etc about drugs in or outside the us.

- i do believe the answer here in my/our case should be yes because even if we tried it once out of curiosity, it is still an OFFENSE in the Philippines.

I think inshould just provide an explanation letter and a character reference letter from my wife. Im here already too in the US. Will get our marriage cert tomorrow and start the AOS.

I was also doubting but I already said No because my husband said so. He said he does not want my application to get complicated again.

Well its up to you, if you are more comfortable with saying 'yes'' , you should do it. Pls add me in fb. pinaylove24@gmail.com . pra makapagcommunicate ako sayu doon. May mga tanong pa ako. Oh anyway, kailangan mo ang Social security Number at I-94 sa AOS applciation.meron ka na ba nun? Add me fb ttyl.

I was also hesitating for the right answer on that question but i just followed what my husband wanted me to do since he does not want my application to be complicated again. But in your case, if you are more comfortable saying ' Yes with an explanation then i guess you shoul ddo it. Add me in fb . May mga tanong Pa ako. How is everyon?? Hope all is well!! So we just finished our green card interview today. The interviewer asked questions about our relationship that me and my wife are confident were able to answer everything correctly and consistently.

According to the interviewer, she could not approve/adjudicate our green card on the spot because she would wave to do a research first regarding my experimental drug admission at st lukes. She asked how many times i did it and I only said once in my entire life and it was purely out of curiosity and a puff only.

I could not believe that this will again haunt us and could even jeopardize our green card. We are very well settled here already and imagining that I will be deported or denied a green card because of that is really bothering us. I mean they should have not approved my K1 visa in the first place before righy and not wait for this moment and deny us eventually.. Interviewer said wait for 1-2 weeks in the mail..

I remember that you stated from your SLEC medical that you stated the same facts as you just stated to the AOS interviewer. I have confidence that you will receive your GC as the interviewer said. I think they understand that kids are curious about things and since you have stated the same facts during your medical, you should be fine.

BTW, always start a new topic and not hack into a thread that is a couple of years old.

I am just wondering how will she the supposed "research" that she is talking about. She can call st lukes but she will just receive the same comment that the pscyh said before.

My opinion is that she has approved you as 1-2 weeks processing is normal to receive an answer. I believe your fine. I haven't heard of anyone being sent back to the Phil once they arrived here. I think you need to just relax. This is all a waiting game.
