Hi everyone, i just had my interview yesterday at USEM Manila. The consul did not say anything if i am approved or denied but i went to a window where the guy told me they will just inform me if the visa is ready, does it mean i am approved? Also,I just want to have an idea how long do i have to wait before i will get my visa at hand? I chose to pick it up at 2go Mall of Asia branch since i find it convenient for me. Thanks and God bless

Congrats on your approval! As noted by sweetswinks above, it's indeed a good indicator that they took your passport and didn't give you a 221g asking for more documents. For now, you just have to give it a wait until they finally issue your visa, print and affix on your passport, which will take a few days. I received my visa after 3 weeks from interview. Some got theirs after a week or so. No definitive timeframe.

You can check your status here for updates: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Wow..congratulations to me then hehe.. thank you sweet cakes. How come it took 3 weeks before you got the visa? I asked the 2go officer when i can possibly pick up my passport with the visa and he said within a week,so i am holding to that statement he gave. I met a girl at St. Luke's, she got her visa in 3 days.

I checked my visa status and it says "READY" what does it mean? And what will be the status written after that?

After the interview, your ceac status will be updated to a combination of either of the following:

Ready >> AP >> Issued

or Ready >> AP >> Ready >> AP >> Issued

Did you try both using IV and NIV options in the ceac tracker site? Ready just simply means your case files are opened/ ready/ pending for review, and whenever somebody review or touch your case, a new date will appear on when it was last updated. For now, what you can literally do is just to give it a wait until it shows "Issued".

Ohh..i see. So those are the status i will be seeing in CEAC tracker. Mine it is still READY as of July 21, whic was 2 days before my interview. I will just keep on checking to see if my status will change to AP then ISSUED. Actually, this was the first time i used CEAC coz i am using the site cgifederal.secure.force, my status there says YOUR PASSPORT IS STILL WITH POST. It is hard to predict when i will get my visa hehe..you know, you are like full of hope that i'll get it within a week..

I checked IV and it says READY but when i checked NIV it says NO STATUS.

You don't need to check NIV - your status will only be under IV

I checked IV and it says READY but when i checked NIV it says NO STATUS.

From what I remember it goes to ready then to AP then to issued, It might go from ready to ap, to ready and issued, but which ever way it will get issued. And as a fellow visa journey colleague pointed out, you do not need to check the other site. Good luck with your next leg of the journey and congratulations!!!
