If this huge glitch is because someone didn't shut it down or turn it on right like the report says, I would like to know which beautiful soul is responsible for this.

That article makes it sound like there is no end in sight to the problem and that we're all backlogged for months, at least that's what I got out of it. :ranting: Just awesome...

I really don't understand how some of us have waited without real explanation for so long, but others who have been interviewed after us have already received their visas? How did they escape the great glitch of '14? Has any else impacted by the delay seen any progress yet showing signs of pending dislodge?

Manila, our interview was on the 14th, approved....still in a holding pattern awaiting the words "issued"...no EM e-mails, no movement since the 21st. I have no good news regarding visa issuance

I'm sure the dude who was doing the update decided that would be a great time to do a system restore. Seriously, this is ridiculous. They're pretty active on their Facebook page. I recommend we ask them directly.

Is this good news? Via official State Bureau facebook?

The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs continues to make progress restoring our nonimmigrant visa system to full functionality. Over the weekend, the Department of State implemented system changes aimed at optimizing performance and addressing the challenges we have faced. We are now testing our system capacity to ensure stability. Processing of immigrant visas cases, including adoptions, remains a high priority. Some Embassies and Consulates may temporarily limit or reschedule nonimmigrant visa interview appointments until more system resources become available to process these new applications. We sincerely regret the inconvenience to travelers, and are committed to resolving the problem as soon as possible. Additional updates will be posted to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available.

We had the interview on monday July 28th. The case status at CEAC was "Ready" till today. Today, first it changed the updated date to today's date. And now it just changed to AP. I don't know what that means, I don't know what to expect.

I would say just consider yourself lucky, you're one of the few still not stuck in "ready".

The embassy in Seoul reports that they are now able to process US passports "without delay." Hopefully this is good news for visa processing as well.

That is great news, hopefully other countries follow suit (and notify people, as well)!

NickB, we did receive that message at first. Today ours got updated to a slightly different message with a new creation date, but still stuck on "Ready". Our interview was the day before yours, so if things are progressing at a steady pace, you should have a new creation date and a slightly different message in a few days. I cannot guarantee it though, I'm just going off what I gathered from previous posts. From then it should (relatively) quickly change to AP and then to Issued. But again, that's only what I gathered from other posts, and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Thank you for this. I take some comfort from knowing others got this message too, and that it changed relatively quickly. Perhaps the slowdown is not as bad as it first appeared to be.

Here is another post in the UK forum that has some more information on people also waiting

I applied for a non immigrant work visa and received notice today that my passport is ready to be picked up tomorrow. Visa approval in London on July 23 so looks like it took 5 working days. Hope everyone get theirs soon!

WOOHOO! Thanks for keeping us updated!
