I will be visiting my fiance in the Philippines in September 2014. We plan on filing for our K-1 Fiance Visa immediately upon my return to the states. How should I prepare for my visit in regards to the K-1 visa? What forms or other information should I take for my fiance? What forms or information should I get from my fiance while I am there? I don't want to forget anything and the process seems really daunting to me right now.

Completed and signed G-325A for her, Letter of Intent to Marry signed by her and a US spec passport photo.

These are of course the things I didn't have taken care of when I left my visit with my fiancée in Singapore so I had to have her mail them to me.

Live and learn

Make sure you take at least a dozen photos together at different places, doing different activities, keep all receipts, basically any paper evidence from now on of your relationship. Type up a fiancé letter and have a G-325A, Biographic Information for your fiancé to sign both of. Also make sure she gives you 3 passport type/size photos when you are there. Ensure she has a birth certificate and is able to get police clearance on any countries she has lived in. The whole process sucks, and is awful....but if your in love it's worth it in the end. Good luck, I see you live not to far from me.
