Am I black? Yes. Am I responsible for all the problems in the hood? No. Do I feel empathy for someone other than black people? Yes.

I say my people because folks here are quick to say I'm responsible for either being black or being Muslim(depending on the day).

I dare you to show my one person who said, you are personally responsible for the absolute collapse of black society . It's not a simple answer or fix. However denial is never going to make it better. Denial from the white people, who say " I never owned a slave, so ti's not my problem, or denial from the race agitators who proclaim to young black kids, "you need to fear white men, because of the tM incident, when in fact there are a bazllion times more likely to be killed by another black person. Yes years of segregation and overt racism is a heavy factor, but what is keeping the down, is the myth of the hobbled black, and the perception that the whole American society is titled against them, which you hang onto as if it is a long lost friend.

I really hesitate to reply here. In the absence of so much information and only the information given by the media. it is difficult to know what really happened. There are a lot of issues to consider in this...

How much movement of his mouth was there? For how long?

Did they use paralytic agents in the lethal injection?

Were they using cardiac monitoring equipment on the heart?

Just because they made the pronouncement at the time they did is a formality. If he was being monitored by cardiac monitoring equipment when did the heart cease to beat?

Information given by the media is often incomplete and misleading sometimes inflammatory. I have at times been on the inside of media event and did not recognize the facts of a "story". In the media. So I am slow to react to these things. There is a much more information to be known to make judgement about how this was done.

"Until the black community decides to clean up the hood ... teach morals to your children." End quote.

Guess what? I'm part of the black community.

Here's the problem. Black people fear cops because when you can get choked to death in broad daylight, on video camera, and you're still at fault. When walking home or listening to music in your car can get you killed, and the killer walks or gets convicted for everything but murder, there's an issue. When you slain child gets made fun of, police make targets out of them, famous people and politicians call them out, and you can dress up for Halloween as a deceased teenager, that's a problem. When TM is what you fear more than the dude that shoots 27 innocent people in a school, what's really going on. TM is brought up in comparison to every single bad person here, or a black person is used when some white guy goes on a murder spree. Yet, we still want to talk about TM.

I fear cops because I've seen that black life is not valued the same. There's issues within the black community that stem from a wide array of issues, but what cracks me up is folks here believe we want to live that way.

I can't figure you out, one minute someone says something about black people and you get all huffy, because, why do people assume just because you have the same skin color you have anything in common?

The very next minute they are your people and you are part of this black community, that you just got irritated about because someone tried to tie all black people together. You are a strange bird.

P.S. I fear the police also, and I am a white redneck. I had a black cop tell me one time, that if me and my buddy tried to go into the traffic court to contest a ticket, he would beat us down. I took away from that he was a bad cop. nothing else.

Take a good look at the posts people put up. There's no distinction between the two. You never will hear some or a few, it's THE black community.

Tell you what, find me a post where a white guy goes postal and we talk about the White community. Or better yet, one where we don't talk about the black community.

Who do you think has a better chance of being killed by the police, you or me? Statically speaking, I'm more at risk based on my skin color alone.

And statistically speaking who am I at a greater risk of violence from. A young black male or a middle aged white guy.

I am more at risk from a cop, because I watch all those, am I being detained videos and will probably get shot smarting off to a cop.

Statically speaking, you're more likely to be killed by a middle aged white guy. Do I need to post those numbers?
