Your claim to that land is based on a religion many of us consider a lie. This is why we don't buy the "holy land" garbage.

If they wanted to keep their land, they should have fought better. AMIRIGHT???

Young white South Africans today will tell you different.

Young people say lots of stuff.

That is some skilled trolling right there. Congratulations!

I've already told him before he's got a split personality. It's kind of weird. I call settlers savages and he's all over me calling me anti semitic(LOL). He flips and flops like an omelette.

Good point. They should just kill them all. Ohh wait, they're working on that.

Well whether or not it's their land is really a matter of opinion.

What do you think created all the borders you see now? Isn't it a little hypocritical for any nation to say anything about who owns what when there's been so many owner's through out history. I mean really, what regional major power hasn't owned the land Jerusalem is sitting on at some point?

I fully support Israel right to defend her self. However i got some Jewish friends on FB. They make me almost want to side with Hamas. I had one actually post, that if anyone posted anything questioning Israel he was going to de-Friend them.

How about not basing a country on either race or religion.

This is such wrong-headed thinking. After we stopped enslaving blacks, we did not create a black homeland. We made them equals. After women's rights movement, we did not create a homeland for women. After ending the persecution of Mormons, we did not grant them a homeland even though they had a high concentration in Utah. You can be Catholic or protestant or Jewish and still live in Utah.

After the Germans persecuted Jews, the answer is to make them full citizens again with the same rights as everyone else in Germany, not kick people out of their homes somewhere else to form a racist or religiously biased country.

What? You must not be aware that all sort of people live in Israel with equal rights and full citizenship. There are muslim and christian arabs, bedouins, druze, non-arab christians, and all sort of people living there. You can still be Muslim or Christian and live in Israel, and many do.

One of the Israeli civilians killed was a Bedouin, and another was a Thai person.

They're going on and on about the same thing(at least this time they took it to the right thread).

Did you know that in 7 states in the US you can't hold public office if you're an atheist? Guess what - in Israel you can. In Israel you can if you're a Muslim, Christian, it doesn't matter.

How many Muslim countries are there? Better yet, how many are based on Sharia law?

How many Christian countries are there?

How many Jewish countries are there?

Do you really think Jews, especially after WWII, did not deserve a homeland of their own, so to make sure something like the holocaust does not happen again? Do you really think they should have just gone oh, it is over now, so lets just stay ruled by other people and wait for the next time we get persecuted(in case you didn't know, Germany was not the first time that has happened, it has happened countless times throughout history although not on the same scale). Really? Anyone with any sense understood at the time, finally, that Jews need to be able to be responsible for their own fate. That Jews need to be able to protect and defend themselves, and not rely on others. If you don't see that - you are not against zionism but against Jews. You might not admit it to us, hell you might not even admit it to yourself. But there is no other way to see it.

Israel should just annex the west bank and Gaza and make all of the inhabitants Israeli citizens. If not, then get out. Hell they've already taken huge chinks of the West Bank and are building more settlements. Not exactly the actions of a country that claims to want peace.

That will happen the day Israel gets guarantees that what happened in Gaza over the last 9 years won't happen in the west bank, or worse, it won't get Isis or Al Qaeda knocking on its door. Unfortunately, the sides have not been able to reach a deal that would satisfy both parties despite a couple decades of attempts as of yet, but it may still happen one day. However, it will never be unilateral like it was in Gaza, nor should it be, cause that would be a disaster. Regimes are falling apart all across the middle east. You really think it is a good idea to just trust a Palestinian gov right now that it could keep the peace in the west bank, when much more stable regimes such as the one in Libya and Syria aren't able to? And when the PA wasn't able to in Gaza even with Hamas? But they are not willing to let Israel keep any military forces or any security posts for no amount of years to make sure that doesn't happen. The situation is not as black and white as people like to portray it. It is a very complex conflict. I have said before that my personal belief is that the settlement project was a mistake. However, military presence in an occupied area in order to defend yourself from threats is a right. Moving civilians into it in my view is not - but nothing will change until it can be mutually agreed upon and security needs met.

But none of that is even the topic of this thread. You and I are talking about 67 borders. There are people here that seem to think that even those are not justified. That Israel does not even have a right to exist. And I have a serious issue with that.

lol. Tell that to your team-mate who was in this very thread guilt-tripping us all about "The only homeland they've ever had". See, it's okay when one of YOU says it, but if anyone criticizes that then it's "Oh no, you are misunderstanding". Israel a homeland for the Jews? No way! No really, it's always been about a homeland for everyone, especially the Palestinians we forced off their homeland. To make it OUR homeland.

I know too much to be manipulated by your propaganda. You want me to believe that the Palestinians who were forcibly removed from their own land and put on a concentration camp in Gaza are not part of Israel. You have to play these word games when you are busy persecuting the people you took the land from.

I can admit to the USA taking land from native Americans and applaud the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act which gave a billion dollars and over 30 million acres to various native organizations in Alaska because their claims were legitimate. That is how you settle peacefully: you admit the original wrong. You negotiate a settlement. You vote on it. I work for one of those native organizations right now and I am really happy for them that they are wealthy. Unbelievably wealthy, because of taxes they are levying on the companies extracting oil from the largest oilfield on the continent.

Until you can do like me and admit the original wrong, there will be no chance at solving this like we solved our conflict over land with native Alaskans.

One of YOU?

Who, praytell, is one of ME? Someone with an Israeli flag on their profile on VJ?

You know very little, in fact.

You also don't know what I think is right or is wrong, or what I think about much of anything in this, yet you decide for me how I am. Very pathetic. And manipulative, I might add.
