well the quick tour is the Cross of Magellan and the St Nino church. There are some really nice resorts on Mactan Island but they charge HOLY $$$ American prices. Full of Koreans also.

There are several very old Spanish churches. Also the whale Shark watching in Oslob ? we plan to head south. There are some pretty decent resorts down there for 50 bucks a night or less. SM mall is good for killing some time . I am going to borrow a car from the in laws and explore.

We might do that. We were thinking Boracay but we are also comparing price.

If we can also have fun in SEEBOO for a lot cheaper than we will do that.

We lived in Korea before so that is no problem lol

If you want quiet and less crowded, check out Bohol. And you can stay at the Bohol bee farm for a good price, if memory serves me correctly.

Boracay is nice, but crowded and touristy. But if you go there, make sure you hit up the d' Talipapa for some fresh, cheap seafood. You pick what you want, then step out from under the awning and there are several places that will cook and serve it to you. Pretty neat.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
