Desktop or Laptop?

Thinking about buying a desktop i had it with laptops they dont last and crash too soon.

If you don't want a laptop, consider an all-in-one desktop. I bought one of those a few years back - a 23' HP. Nice piece of hardware and no issues with it whatsoever.

The real problem with laptops is the crappy 5400rpm spinning disk hard drives they always sell in the cheap models. That is the absolute bottleneck. Buy a laptop with a solid state hard drive and you'll be happy you did. Buy a big cheap external hard drive for all your junk.

That means it's a spinning disk hard drive. It will be the bottleneck of your computer. A solid state drive would be much better. A 120Gb drive will prob run you in the low $100's and would increase performance dramatically. But you'd have to know how to transfer your OS to the new drive.
