Hi Everyone,

I am a bit confused that my then fiancee received a notice back in her country stating that "This office regrets to inform you that it will not be possible issue your immigrant visa because you are ineligible under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which stats that all applicant must be documentarily complete before a visa is issued..."

When my then fiancee went for her first interview back in Jan 7th, 2014 they requested her to return again with me present at the interview. All the documentation provided back then was no issue except that I needed to attend the interview with her. We got a new schedule for Feb 3, 2014 which I attended. The interview went great and we were approved right there and then.

After settling her affairs in Brazil, I went back in May to pick her up. We arrived here in May 11, 2014 and she was inspected by Immigration Officer in MIA airport and we had no issue. She now has a SSN and we have officially been married recently on July 19, 2014.

So I am totally confused as to why my wife is just not getting that notice stating they can't process her visa. The letter is dated July 10, 2014. We are now in the process in completing the AOS and just waiting for the certified marriage license so we can send out the application. Is there something I should be concerned about?

The letter was sent by mistake. You need not be concerned. At this point not only was her visa issued but also used. Congrats btw and good luck!

Thank you Johnr! I was hoping that's what someone would say to me. I just needed some sort of confirmation. Cheers!
