Expedites are almost always only granted for medical conditions or military deployment. At ths USCIS stage, it might help to contact the Senator's office. However you're NOA2 should come pretty soon based onthe fact that you've already been with the USCIS for 8 months.

I applied for an expedite at the NVC stage and it was turned down.

My expedite was neither medical nor military. It was the *I got lucky* expedite :P The Belgian embassy must be very soft hearted.

This all feels surreal, but our Visa is issued and will be in our Hands this Thursday. My love will POE on 7/28 with me at JFK. My Journey took a total of 9 months, if it wasn't for VJ I wouldn't have been able to do this, thank you to all that have answered my questions and I am here to help the best that I can. I want to give a special shout out to my girls, Nat, Carmen, Yoly, Chris, Dani, Mery, Teny, Yanil, Gabby, Alba, Dee, Laurie, Lisa, Lili, Ana, Lani and Vane. We have kept each other sane and supported each other through the hardest of time without this group of ladies. I wouldn't have been able to stay emotionally connected to this. The journey is long but if you build your support system strong you can do it. I can't wait to begin OUR next chapter with my Love. Good Luck to everyone and remember persistence and patience is key!

Omg and My Queya can't wait for our hubbies to meet in the NYC!!

Sooooo happy for you too!!!! 9 months seems like forever but once he's here it will become just a difficult memory!!! I'm in MY too. Maybe once mine is here he can meet all these other Dominican transplants too???? I'm worried about the transition for him. Lol poor guys. A lil culture shock to say the least. I'm considering moving even to Washington Heights to help him. I'm feeling that bad for him!!! But I don't want the long train ride to midtown to/from every day.
