My husband requested for an expedited case on july 16th under Humanitarian Situation. Our lawyer emailed us that he received an email saying:

Type of service requested: typographical error

The status of this request is

Recently you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Petition for Alien Relative to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. ..

Your request for expeditious processing is denied.

Were confused about this letter. My husband called USCIS and they said its denied. He explained he didn't request for this process and they keep saying its denied. What shall we do? Please help

Timeline

I think USCIS made an error in classifying the "type of service requested" but the denial was for expedited processing, which your husband requested.
