Hi all,

So my aos packet is finally complete and will be posting tomorrow!

I have a question regarding travel on AP. My now husband and I met working on cruise ships as entertainers, we weren't planning on taking any more contracts but we have been offered a 6 month one starting in October and are considering it.

My questions:

a) Am I likely to get my advance parole returned to me before this date?

b) Also, being from the UK, I had to get a C1/D to work as a crew member- when I received my passport back after my k1 interview, they had 'c cancelled without prejudice' my C1/D so the only travel document I have will be my AP, will this be sufficient to go through customs and immigration at all the ports?

Any insight would be appreciated or a nudge in the right direction of where I might be able to find this out.

Thanks :)

You're not going to get approved before October. And if you had an interview, you would both have to come to the US and attend, could you leave the ship on one month's notice?

I agree that getting approved by October will be challenging. Possible, but I wouldn't bank on it happening.

I was going to ask the same thing as Harpa...you will get further communication regarding your Green Card and potentially an interview for your Green Card while you are on the ship. How will you get this letter? Can you make it back for your interview?

So once you get your green card you will be spending 6 months+ outside of the US on cruise ships working.

Would that not start to flag residency issues?

Thank you, goodnight and may your gods go with you",
