Yes i feel you about the NVC. I also call them on 07/21 and was told they have all my paperwork and the checklist they ask from me since July 18th. When i talk with the man on the phone which was very nice and explaining to me that they get tons of mail everyday. And i just have to wait for them to get to my papers. Yes it have been over 30 days but you can not count weekends. I pray i hear something by the end of this month. Yes this is very hard on a lot of us waiting for the process to be completed. good luck

I am a January 2013 I-130 filer, and I just got my case complete at the NVC yesterday. So believe me I know the torture of waiting. But if I got my case complete, then you will too! Just gotta wait. I know it sucks.

Good luck!

USCIS

22 Jan 2013 -- packageSent
31 Jan 2013 -- NOA1 from NBC

6 Mar 2013 -- I130 transferred to Orlando local field office (which started the whole nightmare)

Mar 2013 to October 2013 no one would tell us where our case was or what was happening. I suspected the whole time it was just sitting in a corner somewhere in the Orlando field office. I was pretty much right.

October 2013 - get congressman involved. Congressman asks USCIS repeatedly about our case but they won't even tell them anything.

31 Jan 2014- finally get NOA2!!!! (we think the nightmare is over!)

NVC

Our case was not sent from the Orlando field office as it should have been. The nightmare continues. We kept calling NVC and asking if they received our case, and they always said "NO" and that we had to wait 90 business days for it to be received. We called USCIS during this time and they kept telling us it had been sent. After the 90 days of agonizing frustration, NVC then started telling us we had to wait 120 business days. I got our congressman involved again, and they told the congressman it was sitting at the Orlando office this whole time (just as I thought it was!).

22 Apr 2014 -- NVC received
16 May 2014 -- NVC case number assigned
24 May 2014 -- AoS and IV bills paid

28 May 2014 -- Sent AoS and IV Packages

6 June 2014 -- documents scanned

18 July 2014 -- false checklist from NVC

21 July 2014 -- Case complete

28 July 2014 -- receive case complete email from NV

30 July 2014 -- interview booked! September 11 here I come!

Embassy
04 Sept 2014 -- Medical
11 Sept 2014 -- Interview - APPROVED!!!!
15 Sept 2014 -- Package arrived at Loomis location!!!

Thank you !!! :D:D:D:D

We just went to our interview a week ago but its not over... We still need to file a waiver....( its getting sent this week by our attorney) The waivers have been getting processed much faster these days. Hopefully only another 4 months to wait.. Last year they were being processed at around 8 months... We are hoping to be together by Christmas.... Cross your fingers for me.

Who is your lawyer and how do you like them so far? What was the turnaround time between hiring them and having your waiver prepared?

OMG that is just ridiculous.. I am so glad to be out of the NVC...

We would have been finished with the NVC in 30 days if they didn't checklist us for his birth certificate. Even with the checklist we were done in 2 months. I feel really bad for everyone who is stuck there.

I've been waiting almost 8 weeks for the IV invoice. I'm hoping a supervisor actually does review our DS-261 this week, or I'm going to need to mentally check out of this whole deal and assume I'll be staying in the UK. None of this is doing me any good!

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Good morning..i just got off the phone with NVC and they told me to wait for 30 days so they can review my packages.. its been almost 14 months in thhis process almost there.. im on my 11th & and counting !! i asked why is it raking so long she said that lately a lot of petitions !!

I hear you! I HATE NVC! They don't have a system. If you look at people's timeline on this site, you will realized how retarded NVC works. There are plenty of people that get their documents review in a week and others in months. There is no organization, it is just a matter of LUCK. I had to re-send a copy of my USC, and it took 6 weeks for them to notify me that they got it. Now, they are "REVIEWING" the documents. I bet you that is going to take another 6 weeks to review them and then, I will probably get a letter telling me; OKAY, WE REVIEWED THE DOCUMENTS NOW YOU WAIT MORE BECAUSE THAT IS HOW WE ROLL... Good luck to you buddy.

Yes it's very frustrating! I can hardly even read VJ anymore because it just makes me more depressed. Both my husband and I are living in Serbia, and I just want to go home! And as far as "call, call, call"....it's more like wait, wait, wait to spend, spend, spend. It's not cheap to call from the other side of the world. When we do call, theres no answers anyway. Lord help us.

:pop: ahhh yes. NVC. I am sitting back waiting..calling..and waiting..and calling.. and waiting.. hopefully it won't be too much longer for you! The last time I called I was told it is very backlogged. :star: Best of Luck! :star:

OMG I am shocked by your timeline. I filed April 12th 2013 and it took 11 months to get an NOA2. My NVC Journey was only 2 months It would have been 1 month if I didn't get a checklist for my husbands birth cert. My lawyer even made a big mistake and I corrected it immediately. My case only took 11 days to be shipped from TSC to NVC and I received a case number the same day it was received. All fees were paid and docs sent within 9 days. I get sick looking at how long people are sitting at the NVC.. Last year it was a backlog of I-130's at the service centers. This year they sped up the approvals for those but didn't think about the backlog it would create at the NVC. When I first got to the NVC, it was only taking 2 weeks for them to review documents. Now I am seeing people waiting 8 weeks to pay their IV bill. My heart goes out to all of you still waiting.... GOOD LUCK

I followed the NVC thread the entire time I was at the NVC. It was a huge help. The NVC Wiki was a bible to me. Lots of short cuts and tips. I also called 3 times a day. Spoke to supervisors when I got a checklist and had 2 checklist items removed because the weren't required for Costa Rica. They make mistakes alot. You have to be on top of them. Night operators were much nicer than the day shift. NVC keeps a log of when you call.

READ EVERYTHING IN SAYLIN'S SIGNATURE AND FOLLOW THIS THREAD. I suggest reading the WIKI 10 times and keep a copy on your desktop for quick reference. THis thread renews every month so it doesn't matter what month you started at the NVC. This thread will help you get through.http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/503660-nvc-filers-july-2014/?p=7102316
