CENOMAR for CFO?

It's not in the list of requirements on their website but based on other's experiences, was a CENOMAR asked for?

Note: we got married in the US and I never bothered to report it to PH embassy that's why I still have a CENOMAR.

Hi! Went to cfo a couple of months ago and I wasnt asked for a Cenomar.The only thing they wanted from me(which was still pending)was the NSO copy of our marriage certificate. .Thus,the second trip as soon as it was ready.Lol

They use the statement "other documents as may be required" to cover ANYTHING they may want to ask for. You can read the CFO section in my guide (CFO is the same), it lists the most common documents that have be noted.

From CFO:

Requirements for Attendance to Guidance and Counseling Program

1. Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph;
2. Duly completed guidance and counseling form;
3. If married, original and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office, or Local Civil Registry Offices; or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/ Consulate (if married abroad)
4. Other documents as may be required by the counselors; and
5. Payment of P400.00 counseling fee.

Based on my experience, they asked for my CeNoMar and my husband's legal capacity to marry to prove we are single before we got married. That falls under "other documents as may be required" as it appear on their website. Bring pictures of both of you together or save them on your cellphone to show to them. They may also ask for it. They will not release your certificate as long as you havent submitted docs they will ask you, so better be prepared than going home without the certificate. Goodluck.
