thanks you guys... you are all the best.

hate crime? I dunno. probably appropriate, but I cant say I have the energy to persue or even think about something like that. Not a bad suggestion, though.

we talk about moving now...but we'll have to see. Revenge? no, no, no. neither one of us have even mentioned anything like that, and no way. in fact, that lady's boyfriend was openly very very upset, and I really dont know what he's about, so I cant guess what will happen between him and the neighbor guy. All I know is he showed lots of anger in front of the police and the landlord (and the neighbor, of course) and we don't need any part of anything that might happen next. I'm not saying anything would happen...cuz I don't know anything except that its tense here now, so I dont want anything to do with any of them, not revenge or anything.

thanks again for all the kind words!! I do feel better than I did a few hours ago.

I was sorry to read about what happened. I was thinking about it and my only thought is that one day, this man will get his punishment. It may not be in this lifetime but he will get it all the same. That's probably not alot of consolation to you now but...

Best of luck to you both and keep safe!!

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

i want to moan and groan that we still do not have our greencard. And yes, I know others are still separated, please remember that I also went through the trenches of the visa process. All totalled today it has been 994 days since NOA1 of K1. Alot dayum longer than many CR1's (which in hindsight we would have DEFINATELY taken).

I would deal with DOS any day over DHS. Our ability to sue is now effectively defunct, and the DOS is waaaay more organized than this section of DHS.

I am however happy for those of you who are with or soon going to be with your SO's

I need a swing at that DOS bag. I called last week. The lady told me...4-6 weeks. Well yesterday was 6 weeks. Today they tell me 60 days-6 mos. How did I know they'd changed their story this week? JP..I think we discussed that a few days ago ;)

LOL yeah they will probebly do the same thing to me once I hit the 4 month mark. "Oh did we say 3-4 months?? What we meant was 3-4 years dear."

omg!! 6 more months??? Thinking about how long I have to go yet makes me feel hopeless sometimes. I don't know how you all manage.

I guess the same as I've been doing so far but knowing that I probably have at least another year + is hard to think about!!

I think the immigration system owes us all a nice weekend at a spa. What ya think? Sounds like a plan to me!!

:)

Just a warning...it gets harder after you actually have physical contact with the person. I was good the 1.5 yrs before I went to meet Moh. The past year since we met has been HELL...with moments of normalcy...moments. God help me if it's 6 more months.

Yeah and to top it off she was rather short with me. She didn't give a chance to get a word in. Not that it would've mattered.
