Yet, they don't search the criminals. They search the black kids going to and from school, and in some cases, the guys going to work and back. It fails because since they only target black males, you can give the gun to your girlfriend, since they never check black females.

If you've lived in a bad neighborhood, you know who's doing dirt and what not. It's not complicated. Their parameters are young black male with saggy pants and Jordans on. Get the dudes hanging out on the corner at 2am. But there's not a cop car in sight. I drive through that area at least once a week. The police presence is a joke.

Last Friday, I saw a guy pull his car over, push a young lady out and proceed to beat her like a man. If I hadn't honked my horn and made a U turn to drive in his direction, he might have killed her. This was in broad daylight.

Conservatives have lost the cultural battle over premarital sex but are yet to accept that they have; that's why they continue to fight common-sense things like sex ed for school going children.

Liberals, I'm afraid, are in a similar state of denial and are displaying a very similar response with respect to the lost battle over gun rights and restrictions.

I remember the fruitful haul conservatives had with anti gay marriage legislation across this nation - that wasn't all that long ago. In fact, it largely happened this century which still is very young. They really felt that they won and that America had spoken loud and clear against the supposedly lost cause of same sex marriage. With that in mind, I am not awefully worried about the lost battle over gun rights and restrictions. America will eventually come to her senses on that issue, too. Remember that in the end, progressives always win.

Why are we confining it to race? A criminal is a criminal. You make sure there's a difference between lawful gun owner and criminal, give me the same respect. Unless you want to lump all those dudes as lawful gun owners.

In a city that's predominately black it would make sense that the criminals might lean towards that profile. The problem is, they're frisking everyone EXCEPT the criminals. Dudes in business suits with no criminal record in the morning and afternoon. But at night, where are they?

Here's the kicker. Having more guns in those areas aren't the answer. Children are being killed. We're talking stray bullets, not encounters where a gun might deter such violence. Folks are being shot taking out the trash, selling lemonade, or even inside the house sitting on a couch. How does more guns help in those situations?

By the same token, disarming the people who are not doing any of these is not going to help
