I-693A or I-693?

My wife and step-daughter arrived into Detroit from China on October 29th. They both were required to have a medical / physical in Guangzhou, China to be approved for the K1 fiancee visa, which of course they had.

Now my question and I'm sure others have the same question:

Seeing that they had the medical / physical in Guangzhou, China, are they required to have the medical / physical once more in the United States (I-693) or can they just have their vaccination records transcribed onto the I-693A?

The cost of the I-693A is roughly about $45 versus the cost of the medical / physical (I-693) being roughly $180 for my wife, $120 for my step-daughter.

As long as the physical they had done was less than 1 year old, then they ONLY need the supplement form filled out. No new physical is needed.

When looking for a civil surgeon make sure you call around, the prices can vary alot.

You should receive the supplemental in a sealed envelope which you mail with the AOS application. You can request a copy!
