I'm entitled to post a thread about a current event in the current events forum, same as the other people who posted threads on the topic.

As for railing anti semitic rhetoric, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it of course. However, disagreeing with an Israeli poster on what Israel is doing in Gaza doesn't make someone anti semitic.

I'd just settle for the thread being unlocked and it being permitted to talk about Israelis who don't believe in what their government is doing.

The thread lock was BS, I don't care if it was a mistake or moderator bias, although if the latter some effort should be made to minimise that in the future.

FTR, this is all a complaint that VJ moderation could have avoided if they had just weighed the initial complaint appropriately. This is the problem with providing a mod response to each report simply because the button has been clicked. Smoke was wrong to report the thread just as the mod in question was wrong to oblige his report. What if I report a thread for speaking negatively about the president? Should that be honored? No.

I followed the link back (thanks) and he didn't in any way imply that what the state of Israel is doing in Gaza today is as evil as what Hitler did in the Holocaust.

Had he said that or even indirectly hinted at it, I would agree with you about his statements being anti-Semitic.
