  1. 1. Most White Americans are going to watch this and see nothing wrong with what the cops did.

looks like as much as you may want it, it you are not going to get it. This is a blatant case of police over reaction. The victim happens to be of a dark skin tone. This is not about race. This happens far to much across America every day to people of all races. This is no more or less tragic becuse the victim was black.

Now, G and D may come along in a bit to tell you he had it coming because he was fat.

to stick with the truth, nb, this sort of injustice happens more frequently to black people than white simply because black people have more interaction with police.

Do you really think this happens to white people at the same rate as black people? This is a commonplace for minorities.

Think about it, when has a white perp been shot over 50 times reaching for a wallet? Or smoking a cigarette?

and your facts to back this up are ?

like I said, I hope the focus of this case stays on what it should be. An ever growing police state in America. I hope it does not become one of Sharptons. race baiting 3 ring circus acts. What was done to that poor guy is criminal, but has nothing to do with race

How about Stop and Frisk for starters? Or this:

http://web.missouri.edu/~jlfm89/Race%20Perceptions%20of%20Police%20Misconduct.pdf

In a separate study titled, “Race and Perceptions of Police Misconduct,” Weitzer joined with Steven A. Tuch, also of George Washington University, to examine the causation of negative perceptions of police in the Black community. The answers mirror what many of us have experienced: Black Americans are overwhelming faced with corruption, violence, and profiling more than any other racial or ethnic group:

If you want Sharpton out, get rid of the "special" treatment.

Stop and Frisk used to target every black and Hispanic person in the whole state for a while.

W Blacks commit a large percentage of the crimes. So it would make sense we have more interaction with police.

The problem with this; the cops can't seem to tell the difference between us and the criminals. I've read and seen people in suits and ties get treated like thugs. Almost like seeing a black person play against type makes them more mad.

don't whine about the police being militarized if you aren't willing to take in the full scope of the problem bro.

I swear you're like three awesome posters in one.

So you are saying a black person in a suit, is abnormal.? You are starting to be border line racist. why can't a black man dress professional ?? What is Type? Are all black people suppose to have a type ?

I guess all people of color fit a mold to you .

To some people, yes. It's the same thing when you say a black person sounds white(not you, but the saying) or you don't act black. It's been said here a few times. And I've been told that several times in my lifetime. If a person acts ignorant, they're called acting black. Case in point; Justin Beiber. If a black person speaks with intelligence, he's talking white. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acting_white

Remember a few months ago? You said you went to a mall in Atlanta I think. And you were surprised at what you saw, black people who didn't act the part. I think because of where you live and what you've seen, you're subconsciously projecting that.

your problem pretty much always comes back to reading comprehension.

I remember being in the mall as a teenager. We used to get threatened with arrest for standing around having a conversation. They would make us walk around because standing and talking was considered "dangerous".
