That seemed over the top to me. It's unclear why they were talking to him in the first place (someone says something about breaking up a fight), but they didn't need to escalate it to make the guy lose his temper. Police should know how to defuse situations calmly, rather than use brute force all the time.

i was more sickened by the emt response myself. i expect this sort of thing from cops. after watching, i think the cops and the emt knew this dude was dead and just wanted to get him off the street and away from onlookers.
