Here is what I found for Perry: http://governor.state.tx.us/contact/assistance.aspx

Mailing Address

Office of the Governor

P.O. Box 12428

Austin, Texas 78711-2428

Since this is a federal matter, it might be best to submit a petition to congress ... similar to this one

Great idea! I am up for anything as my fiance and I's petition just hit the 5 month date. We are february filers. I have contacted the Senator, congressman, but nothing really helps so I don't think this would hurt. I am continuously saying why can't they transfer the backlog to California. When I have called the USCIS they deny that california processes any faster. They told me it takes just as long there which I know is not true.

Totally not true at all! I was expecting a longer wait and we got approved faster than I thought. I'm not here to gloat or make anyone feel bad, being apart is hard, having to wait unknowingly if you are going to even get approved is stressful. I'm on here to support and also write letters on everyone's behalf who is still waiting. It makes me sad to see that not every center process the cases in a timely manner. What about shifting workloads to the rest of the other processing center? Hiring more part time employees to help with the processing to get out of it being back logged?

Are we just numbers to them? Just more paperwork, denied or approved doesn't really effect how they're doing their job or how long it'll take? Why? cause they can't see how its effecting our lives on the other end. I've been more sleep deprived, time zoned out, financially stretched, stress induced, more sicker than I've ever been, blood pressure going up, checking up all the time on my case status, checking on VJ for all the possible pitfalls, obsessed about making sure every single form is signed and sent they way that they want so we can get approved(Honey use BLACK INK!). Even after all of that we got an RFE! I was stressed to the max and didn't sleep for two days because of the RFE, so how can this process not stress me out! This is my life. So I want to help and do something about it too for I feel the pain of couples who's waited a lot longer than I have. I want to reclaim my life and my sanity! I want to be able to sleep peacefully at night (I don't know what that is like anymore for the past 2 years). I want to turn off the web cam! I'm becoming more blind from staring at my computer screen. I hate and love the webcam...I feel like I'm living in the "Truman" movie! I want to do normal couple things like going out on real dates instead of having dates on webcam, eating a beautiful meal with him but I'm alone by myself. Taking him all over my city but he's in my phone, dancing with him but he's in the computer...holding my phone at night just to be with him. Waking up and going to bed with him through the camera. It brings me to tears as I'm writing this to you all how hard and stressful it has been for the both of us so I can't even imagine how much harder it is for you all...

So yes, I'm in, whatever, whomever we decide to write to...let's just do it!

I am the beneficiary, but I am worried as well. I just contacted an old friend of mine who works for CNN and I explained the situation. I hope to get some media attention.

That's great to hear! Please let us know what happens.

Right I agree that congress and the senate would be the ones to do it. But Perry's angle is special in this case. He is running for presidential election in 2016, and immigration reform is at the top of his agenda.

Yes, I think we need a due date. To discuss, research and then decide to where and whom we need to send it too, otherwise it just becomes discussion on another forum. I will do a little more research too.

So are we in agreement on this draft?

============== DRAFT ===============

To whom it may concern (or insert addressee here),

This letter is to bring to your attention, and to seek appropriate improvement and resolution of, the growing discrepancy in processing times between the two service centers handling I-129F petitions.

As you may know, the two service centers for I-129F petitions are California and Texas. The routing of incoming petitions is dependent on the petitioner's home state.

As a petitioner living in one of the states that has been routed to the Texas Service Center, the increasing inaction seen at SRC is discouraging to say the least.

For example, as of late, California is completing those applications anywhere from 15-60 days after receipt, whereas Texas is dragging along with a minimum of 5 months and in some cases as much as 8 months.

To demonstrate further, using data from your website at http://dashboard.uscis.gov/, you'll see that California, on average, is managing to keep the number of receipts, pending petitions, and completed petitions at fairly the same level with the latest number of completed petitions at 1,948 (as of May 2014 published data) with a total of 2,434 petitions pending. Thus, an efficient 80.03%, of pending I-129F petitions, was completed in May 2014.

In stark contrast is Texas, with the number of petitions pending skyrocketing, while the number of petitions completed has been decreasing for the last seven months, with the latest number of completed petitions down to just 564 (as of May 2014 published data) with a total of 11,342 petitions still pending. Thus, only 4.97%, of pending I-129F petitions, was completed in May 2014.

[insert graph of CSC versus TSC]

I implore you to look into this discrepancy in processing times for the Texas Service Center's I-129F petitions. I encourage you to take action in resolving this matter so that all petitioners, regardless of their home state at the time of filing, are treated fairly with regards to the disparate wait times.

Sincerely,

Signed

We can send one letter, but how will they know all those involved? The more letters they receive, the more powerful of a point it will make. We can send letters via mail or email or both, per one's preference.

Also, I personally think media attention is needed now. The system is really slowing down. I'm not sure when they will even get around to all these petitions...

I agree. A storm of emails about the same issue might finally wake them the F*&^ up!!

I sent one to my Congressman. Who else are you guys planning to send to? Do we have specific email addresses and/or postal addresses of named individuals at USCIS? Someone said Donald Neufeld (?). Is that who we are targeting? We need to hone-in on one person, most importantly.

So are we in agreement on this draft?

Yes, we were thinking Donald Neufeld. Agreed, multiple emails/mails all to one person; this seems like most substantive. Also, check out the other thread about media coverage. A similar letter is posted, but angled towards the media. The more attention we get, hopefully the faster we can get things moving.
