Scammer posing as USCIS (split topic)

I got a call today with something similar. She told my that i did not file I-94 and will be deported.

Caller: Hi, Are you xxxxxxxxxxx? I am calling from USCIS and consulare officer wants to talk to you. Did you get a call from the embassy?

Myself: Depends on who is calling. Which embassy?

Caller: I will transfer to the Consular officer

Alleged CO: Hi, my name is Rosy and you are XXXXXXXXXX right?

Myself: Like i said before it depends on who calls. What is the problem?

Alleged CO: I will tell you the enitre problem. This call will be recorded for quality purposes.

Myself: Sure. I am doing the same.

Alleged CO gets irrirated: Can you hold for a min?

Come back after a min

Alleged CO: Why do you need to the record the call?

Myself: Why not? Since you are doing the same.

Alleged CO: This is regarding your immigration case as you did not file I-94 and you will be deported.

Myself : Sure. Are you going to join me?

Alleged CO: Hangs up!

This sounds more like someone trying to scare a particular person to me.

The IO case officer had no clue that i am on a GC for about 4yrs and i don't have to do anything with I-94. The entire conversation went like this and i did not do a good job of putting it through in my earlier post.

Caller: Can i talk to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Myself: Depends on who is calling.
Caller: I am calling from USCIS and there is a problem with your case. Did you get a call from the Embassy?
Myself: What problem and What embassy?
Caller: I need to transfer your call to the Immigration Officer. Please hold.
Alleged IO: My name is Rosy and i see a problem with your immigration case.
Myself: Allright. What is the problem?
IO: Just to let you know, this call is recorded for quality purposes.
Myself: Sure. I am doing the same.
IO: Gets agitated and tells me to hold on for a min.
IO: Why are you recording the call?
Myself: Why not? When you can, why can't i do the same. I have a friend in the FBI and USCIS office is just couple of streets from where i live. I trust you 100% but in this world of scams and what not i just want to be safe!
IO: You are going to be deported because you did not fill out I-94.
Myself: when was that?
IO: Last Year.
Myself: Who needs to fill out I-94?
IO: Every one on Visa.
Myself: Cool. Lets get deported then. Wanna join me?
IO: Hangs up!

There was a news report today concerning this type of calls and the children crossing the border. We have to be cautious and not answer any questions, hang up and report it.

Reading the comments on the blog, it's scary to think that it's been happening for awhile and that so many people have fallen for it.
