It will probably not be solved quickly. You filled in the wrong code and they gave you something based on that To fix it will probably take more time that you would like ( we personally went through over a year of getting misprinted 10 year green cards. )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

After reading this post, i wonder if I made a mistake, and if so how will that affect my husbands EAD - I use"

K-1 non immigrant fiance of US citizen or K-2 Dependent (a) (6) File form I-765 if you are filing withing 90 days from the date of entry. This EAD cannot be renewed. Any EAD application other then for a replacement must be based on your pending application for adjustment under © (9)

was I supposed to use © (9)????

Sorry for piggy backing on your post.

Yes, (c )(9 ) is what you were supposed to use. I am surprised they did not send it back and tell you that you did not pay the fee for it. When using (a )(6 ), there is a fee of $380 and it is only good for the length of time your I-94 is. It is not renewable. Maybe you got someone that noticed you filed as an adjustment applicant and fixed it for you? I suppose you will have to wait and see what expiration date your card comes with.

I guess I will have to call USCIS and see if I can change it, but I feel as if I will only prolong the AOS  . Any tips?

They will deny the EAD, sorry. You will be after the 90 days period for the A6 code.

Then you can apply for a new one with C9.

It will not delay your AOS, just delay the EAD.

The thing was that I filed the AOS within the 90 days using the c6 code, maybe there is a small chance that I can resubmit the papers with the c9 :clock: . could that work?

No.

When they adjudicate the EAD, it will be past the 90 days, so you will be denied. The A6 code results in an EAD that will expire at the expiration of the I-94 no matter what, so since you passed it it will be too late. I have seen it happen before many times.

You can't submit a new EAD application because you have one pending already. You will need to wait for denial then submit a new app with the right code.
