Good day Everyone!

I hope all is well! :)

Done my AOS Biometrics last month (June 5) and still waiting for my interview appointment however my passport will expires on December 2014 and I was thinking of renewing it next week since I don't know yet when is my interview date. My concerns are: what if I haven't receive yet my renewed passport as It'll takes 4-6 weeks the renewal process and I have already my interview date or until my interview date comes? It is possible that I can proceed with my interview without my passport and there will be no problem with it - I will just show photocopies of my passport and the receipt/details papers of the renewal? Or I will just wait when is my interview date but I don't know when I'll get it And, what if by the time of my interview date my passport is already expired, what will happened?

Your comments and suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you!

have you sent in your IV package?

There is no IV package when filing for AOS.

OP > What visa are you adjusting from? Not everyone adjusting from a K-1 even has an interview, but you seem sure you will. It is important for you to get the passport renewed right away? Do you have plans to travel? If not, just wait. You can take your expired passport to the AOS interview.

Personal appearance is required when you renew your passport. The Philippine Consulate will not keep your present passport while your new one is in process. So whether you renew it now or later, you will have a passport in hand if ever you are called for an interview (or, you may even get a notice for an interview waiver).
