Expedite/file sent to embassy - How to fill out DS-260?

Hi all, hope you can help with my question.

I recently had my NVC case expedited, and this was in the email:

"The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General.

Please note that the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General may still request additional forms or fees at the time of your interview. Please be prepared to submit any missing forms and pay any required fees at the time of your interview."
So it seems the applicant in this case will be paying the IV and AOS fees directly at the embassy. Also, all of the documents normally sent to NVC will be submitted at the time of the interview. Is this correct?
A further question I had was about the DS-260. Can anyone please tell me, will this still be completed on the website as usual, or will it be filled out in person by the applicant at the time of the appointment?
Thanks for any info, and good luck to all those waiting.

My case was just expedited too and I had just paid the AOS fees. They told me NOT to send any documents to the NVC. Have you emailed the two phone numbers for the beneficiary yet?

Yes, emailed the two phone numbers back prior to expedite approval. Yes, I do believe that our processing will be done directly at the embassy. I am fine with that, as it is sure faster than still sending things to the NVC...but I am also curious why some people who expedite at the NVC stage still seem to have to send documents to them and wait for their cases to complete before being sent on...whereas we were sent directly to the embassy.

Still curious how the DS-260 works for people in our situation, as it seems it's an online-only form. Perhaps the embassies make the form available on the website for us when they receive our cases?

My DS-260 was made available today and my husband is working on that already. I wasn't told it was available. I just happened to check. The NVC told me that if I sent them the AOS package I was going to overnight today then my case would be stalled until they reviewed it. Boy am I glad I didn't send it. I read online that the AOS and IV packages are taken to the interview. When did you receive your expedite email? Have you logged CEAC yet? Mine says it is in transit to the embassy. I bet this is going to move very quickly for us! :)

How do you request an expedite?

I am trying to wrap my head around the logistics of moving documents here and there (I am with my wife, so filing by mail is sloooow, and less than reliable) Dealing only with the Embassy would be ideal... even if it didn't speed things up, I would not be sending original documents through the mail!!

No, I haven't logged into CEAC yet. I received my expedite email on July 18th. When I try to login to CEAC it just says that my case is not able to be further processed at this time. I think perhaps it's like that because my expedite was accepted before I even had an NVC case number, so that website hadn't been opened up to me yet. I'm guessing maybe they'll open it and let me do the DS-260 sometime soon. I'll contact my embassy soon about it. I would love to see the "in transit" information and be able to do the DS-260.

Ohhh that makes sense! You don't even have the case number yet! :) I think I mentioned previously that my AOS fee is paid. I haven't submitted any documents yet. I'm sure they will contact you very soon. Things are going to move very quickly for us!

My husband is shocked that my letter to the NVC got us the approved expedite.
