im sorry...im sorry im making threads and having so many questions!!! but do u guys know the approx time of the petition getting to the country's embassy from nvc?

I think it only took 3 days or so for us.

I noticed that you got your NOA2 in just 4 weeks,

which most of us are taking 5 to 6 months.

So I think you were very lucky on that...

However, it is bit concerning that your NOA2 on April 18,

hasn't been followed up with embassy contact yet.

Have you gotten a confirmation that NVC has sent the case to the embassy?

If so, try contacting the embassy.

Our case has gotten lost and just on wednsday we found out that it got accidently sent to the nrc. is now on the way to the nvc apparently. what took us months to try and find out unsuccessfully whats going on with our petition took just a day to find out for the state senator. person from the senator's office told us that we should hear a reply within a week ,not sure what that means, but we'll call nvc this week to see if our petition is there.

Finally my case got completed at the NVC 7/17/14. Its kinda our fault too since we took long time to send the paperwork, because it took 3 months for the police report from Sri Lanka police. Not sure how long it takes to get a interview date from Sri Lanka tho.

What details are you talking about??? And what plan? Once I got my visa on hand, I will prob come to the US quick. I would think everything is under control and already "planned", i just hope they grant me the visa.

Well, unless you can just pickup and go; among what we had to take care of:

power of attorney for her son to take care of her flat, arrangement for payment of a loan, decide what she was going to bring and what stays, she couldn't just quit work and a month notice was provided, etc, etc; sell a few of the things that she decided would not be needed and can bring some money; documents she neds to have, then arrangements for the marriage to take place in the US: place, date; then plan my traveling and off schedule, plan of the best flight (since I was not going to be able to go get her) such that is as direct (non stop) as possible. She also needed to see relatives, as she would not be back for some time, etc.

Other discussions included what would she do until getting EAD/AP; that's a good 2-3 months.
