We wouldn't know at what stage the RFE would come. We don't want him to have to do another full medical exam.

You didn't think through the questions I asked you when you said you want to get a new immunization form just in case the brown envelope got mislaid. I was hoping it would help you discover the reason that is not the most logical thing.

Q: "Just in case" they lose the brown envelope, what else does it contain that he will NO LONGER be cleared on for AOS?

A: If they lost the medical, not only would the immunizations be lost, but so would his clearance for TB, contagious disease, mental health, and all that was covered before by Knightsbridge. They can not approve AOS without the medical clearance. It is not just an immunization sheet they would not find.

Q: What will he have to do to fix that?

A: He will have to go back to the civil surgeon you already wasted $75 on and pay again for a full medical. Do you really want to drag out the suicide stuff again with a new doctor just in case? No you don't.

So why not just mail in your AOS knowing that almost certainly your medical report including immunization sheet will be put in your AOS file. And if you are so very unlucky that his file got lost, then the $75 immunization sheet won't do a bit of good because the rest is still missing. The only way you know is submit AOS. They order your other file out of storage. If it is lost, they send you a letter saying go get a medical exam and send it in. Spend your money only if USCIS tells you there is a problem. Your chance of having a problem with medical things is very small because you know he had all the required shots plus a few rounds of unnecessary Hep A and Hep B just in case they were needed.

Wait are you saying if we go in to get his vaccination paper done on the I-693 he will have to explain his mental health history with this guy too?

Just an update. We went to the civil surgeon and ended up needing a blanket waiver. So glad we went.

What is a blanket waiver?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

A blanket waiver is a waiver that is applied uniformly to a group of conditions and does not require a separate waiver application or fee to be filed with USCIS. In many cases, it might not be medically appropriate to administer a dose of a particular vaccine. Five Not Medically Appropriate categories are acceptable when determining an applicants eligibility for a blanket waiver.

This is what my injections form from the knightsbridge doctors said, he probably had that on his original one. They told me that they have to do that as the tetanus injection is every ten years in the US so technically you never finish the series, you just get a waiver for incomplete series based on it being too soon for the next one.

Yes so whether or not we had the 3025 we would've still needed the I-693. Glad we found someone to do it without forcing him to do the full medical again. He was the only one I found in the whole state who would just sign off on it rather than going through the whole medical again. $75 was the fee.

Not true.

Did you know the DS-3025 has the same thing..."may be eligible for blanket waiver?" It is not the panel physician or civil surgeon who gives a blanket waiver. The doctors just give the reasons why he would be eligible for USCIS to waive some shots. Knightsbridge already signed off on the same. Not age appropriate, not flu season, insufficient time interval are things most likely already given him on the DS-3025.

Point is-- you got nothing new at the Civil Surgeon in terms of blanket waiver that isn't already in his AOS file.

Actually as per my earlier post I did not get the I-693 done, had the DS3025 with waiver for incomplete due to insufficient time in my original medical from knightsbridge and my AOS went fine with no requirement to get it done.

However I have come to the realisation that no matter what I or others say you will not change your view of what you think needs doing despite being advised by some of the nicest and most knowledgeable members of VJ.

I see it was your wedding yesterday, I hope it went well and wish you and your husband all the best for your AOS and beyond.
