Changing jobs and name during process (H1B to Green Card through marriage)

I am the US citizen in this case, and my husband is an Irish national here on an H1B work visa. He's been in the country for over 4 years. His H1B is still valid until next October. I have two questions which I am confused about. We have not turned in our application yet.

The situation

1. After he receives his EAD, he plans on looking for another job, which he cannot do right now as his H1B and ability to work is tied to his current job. We would also like to move to another state. Is this possible once he receives the EAD? We are aware that we would have to notify them of any address change.

2. In moving to another state, I would have to leave my current job, which I feel like would invalidate my application to be able to "support" him. He makes better money than I do, but in leaving our current jobs I don't want to complicate things.

3. I'm planning on changing my name. Would I need to get my name changed on my passport etc before applying, or is showing the name change on the marriage licence enough?

The questions

1. Should I have my parents fill out the "support" form since I will potentially be giving up my job during this process? They are willing to do so if it would be simpler.

2. What do you do if you (the petitioner) are in the process of changing your name? Which name should I use? Should I wait until after this whole thing is over to make any changes?

Thanks so much for your time. This site has been very helpful.

He can move once he gets his EAD.

You can't be a sponsor if you don't have a job. If you get a new job fast when you move, then it is no problem. I think getting parents to co-sponsor as backup is a good idea.

You can use your married name on the forms. They will know its you from the marriage cert.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
