Hi guys, which picture would be the right one -frontal or 3/4 frontal? The form says 3/4 frontal, but the site and some people say frontal. And do they need to see the ears on my picture, is it necessary?

Getting paranoic about every little detail....I wish you all the very best of luck for your love and life!!!

Our I-129F was approved with a frontal (standard U.S. passport) photograph. If you look at 8B in the I-129F instructions, it requests a full frontal photo whose dimensions are one inch from the top of your head to your chin in 3/4 frontal view.

I have no idea what that means either. It's possibly the worst written sentence in the entire visa process.

But they ask for U.S. passport-style photos, which are currently a full-frontal picture. My ears are covered *in my passport photo*, but at the consulate/embassy level, they may ask for more specific requirements on the photographs, like having the ears unobscured.

Thanks Caladan. 3/4 frontal view means your head is slightly turned, I asked yesterday at a studio when I was getting my pictures done. I made 2 different pictures just in case, with my ears covered. Ok so that would do then....

The ADIT style (3/4 view) is an error. The ADIT style photo was discontinued a while back but the instructions still have one reference. The correct style is the standard passport photo

YMMV
