Hello,

Me and my spouse has just paid the IV application (CR1 Visa) and now in the process of filling out the DS-260 forms. We have several questions that got us confused and was wondering if anyone can help us out in getting these questions cleared up. The questions are below.

Q1: Are you a health care worker seeking to perform such work in the United States but have not yet received certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools or from an equivalent approved independent credentialing organization? (My wife is a nurse and has passed the Board Exams in the Philippines). Does this mean we answer YES to this question?

Q2: Are you a graduate of a foreign medical school seeking to perform medical services in the United States but have not yet passed the National Board of Medical Examiners examination or its equivalent? (My wife is a nurse and has passed the Board Exams in the Philippines). Does this mean we answer YES to this question?

Q3: Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? (My wife Visa is still being process by the NVC. she hasnt done the medical examinations.)

thank you

The health care worker questions are for visas granted based on those professions. Your wife is getting a marriage based visa so she does not answer yes. The questions are not applicable to her spouse visa requirements.

Say yes to the vaccination question because she will have them before her medical exam and before the time her visa is issued. She could work on getting them now even.

Yes to other countries and it is also permissible to travel to the US during the process. However, there is no guarantee you would be admitted to the US by CBP.
